Hello everyone I'm still a newbie but on my forth grow and I'm still experimenting. This time I have choose to top off my plant. My ? Is where I have topped my plant off it made its two coloas. I'm in the 4 th or 5th week (of the top of my head) my issues is these two coloas have just sprouted out towards the light and the rest of the plant is still short. I'm concered because I have lanky ass stems from where it was topped at. Should I cut these two coloas off due to no more space in my IMAG0446.jpggrow tent? Will I hurt my plant? Will it continue to flower the lower braches, or is this a nob thing to do? Ill show some pics bear with me I'm doing this on a smart phone....please advise n suggest what I should do. You need more light, if you cut of these two growths I am afraid there will not be many bud sites left. You can cut them off and bring down your light and let it veg out for another three weeks to get some more bud sites.

that is so stretched, u have to think, that plant is still going to double in size or more, u are out of space, u should have lowered that light to be about a foot above the plant and then lst and then topped it. U need to throw it into flowering because u are going to have tie her down and throw her in flowering

okay guys this is what I'm working due to my budget and newbie level. I have a grow tent 2x2x6 with a 150 H.P.S. lamp the plant is organic soil (my first time doing a organic grow) I know it says on the lamp box it can only cover a 2x2 area. so what do you all suggest I do cut these two off due to no more height in grow area? tie them down? I'm don"t mind re-vegging it but what is the most best thing to do in this situation? i wanted to top to get more colas but these two stems just sprouted out like nothing and the rest looks like sh*t.

yeah just bend down those tall ones and tie them down somewhere let it veg for about a week just until the branches start growing upwards again then throw her into flower

I mean I think I wasn't imagining it but that plant was in bloom, no? YESSSS its blooming don't cut anything you don't want to interupt your bloom by putting sissors to your buds, bud. Try lowering your lights and maby, set up a screen to just direct your buds above the canope. Then you should try to maximize the buds you have already growing. Typyically you can expect about a 1/3more growth overall in bloom with most strains but esentually the veg is over. Is it a autoflower strain? What light rotation are you useing?

also about bending your tall stems down do it a little at a time bend it to a horizontal position until you can untie it then it will stay there then bend it down more and tie it to the stalk but make the string long enough to where your top colas will get light 3 or 4 more days they should start growing upwards also when you bend it the first time lower your light about 6-8 inches (not from the top of the plant!) just lower it that much

yeah this is a female seed I got from Attitude seed bank it is a Kandy Kush plant that has evidence of flowering its the 4th week or 5th week of flower i just feel that there is hardly any bud production on the lower colas. it is on a 12/12 light sch. Should i put some more lights up by using C.F.F.L. lights? I think its due to the my sorry ass 150 watt H.P.S. Lamp every one else I read on or see is working with a 200 or greater lamp.

that don't look like the light from a hps in your photo..its too white. Looks more like a metal halide lamp to me. Any way you look at it that light should be no more than 8 inches from the tops. You have it way too far away and that is why it stretched

Cut 1 inch below a node
cut the leaves off at that node
dip in rooting compound (powder or gel)
Stick in soil (in another pot)
cover with a humidity dome (2L pop bottle with the bottom cut off)
keep the clones misted daily
move your light to 18 inches away from the top of the plant
