Hello this is my first bug problem and i am kinda new at this. I am finding these little tiny bugs on my leaves. Mostly the underside. I have to use a 6x magnifying glass just to see them moving around but i cannot get enough detail on them for a decent picture. At first i thought they were just dust particles until they started to move as they were feeding. The bugs are pale and slender. I was thinking spider mites but i really have no idea
Here are my Survivors.

this is that same bug x6 mag. It posed for me before i killed it.

These were the clearest pictures that i could get.
I don't want to treat them without knowing exactly what i am dealing with. I have had problems with moist soil and I only water every 5 days. The LED light is not hot enough to evaporate the water in the soil. I can post pics of the leaf damage. Someone please give me any advice you can.

From the picture you posted it looks alot like thrips larvae.

Google images for thrips larvae and see if they match your pests. As i cant see completely its hard to say for sure.

Either way find yourself something with SPINOSAD in it , Monterary garden insect spray, conserve naturalyte etc these 2 contain spinosad,

Thank you jondamon. Very weird i have not seen any adults.. i thought they fly. I have a strong fan blowing on them. I even found one of the larvae and put it under a microscope. x100 and x300 you can see the digestive track and they look just like those google pics. Ill go to the store and pick something up to rid myself of them. Thanks again.

No Problem amaac,

Like i said it was a little hard to tell for sure but with a little point in the right direction you have found your culprit.

Good luck!

Like i said though even from the distance your pics were taken it was still easy enough to make out a shape and sometimes that is all thats needed.

a mild soap spray like safer should clear that up, if it gets crazy you can go azamax route. theres plenty of options, bombs, non organic pesticides, hot shot pest strips...good thing u found them early, its always better to catch it be4 it gets outta hand
