Well the ph pens do have me questioning. Haven’t done the drops yet but I’ll assume it’s very orange. So according to the color on the bottle my ph is 5-5.5.

Dude stop playing that game and use GH three part Flora series with cal mag and RO. You will have zero issues.
I've got a feed chart for it I can give you that WILL give you success.
That or RO and just (as much as I fucking hate AN) ph perfect since something is off here. Something is really not right if he is using that much ph down.... Like really not right. Those pens have to be waaaay out

OP you have a fish store near you? Take a sample of your res water there and ask them to test it for you. They do it free. See what the ph is I have a feeling by now it's like 4. Phosphoric acid at 30% will give you about 1ppm of phosphorous per ml. The numbers aren't even adding up in ppm either.

If I'm honest blind guess is ph. But let take this a step and a time. Stop trying to diagnose issues and start looking for the root cause. Aka get back to basics. Process of elimination.
This is exactly what I am thinking as well. It honestly looks like there's some pH fuckery going on. The red veins in my experience usually come from pH resting a bit high at high ec levels or just wild swings. I agree that op should just got a water reset, skip the extra calmag and settle in a modest ppm for a couple weeks. Give or take 500-800 ppm to have enough mineral content for stable pH fluctuations. Focus on checking pH and not over reacting or adjusting too much. OP will notice this red veins going away but not much else. Once leaf damagw is done it's done. I will often cull leaves with damage that I otherwise wouldn't have taken just to make it obvious if I'm not sure why a strain is getting wonky.

What is in ph up that makes it different from raw potassium bicarbonate? All my searches suggest it’s the same stuff I already have.

I’ll Go to the pet store later today to confirm my ph pens. I did last week take it to the grow store where we compare to a new pen and they were the same.
Is it possible my GH ph down doesn’t work with my nutes? My ph up isn’t GH. Perhaps I should get GH ph up?
Wishing I spent more time in chemistry class.

I’ve since flushed out my system. Filled with 200 ppm calmag 500 food. Ph at 6.2. This ph is where my drop test shows a piss yellow.

Idk what chart you use can you post it but I think it should be green not yel and yellow would indicate ph of close to 5 or just below if I remember right. Drops don't need calibrated so I would trust those and it makes more sense that you needed to add that much acid if that's the case.

I would suggest buying a new one that you can calibrate and with calibration solution.

I have two new pens and calibration solution. The drops you’d think should be accurate but maybe adding the ph up into the mix changes the color.

Well let's see how things go. I never used GH ph down always 85% phosphoric acid so maybe it's just weak as hell

The nutes I use come from the grow store there House Brand. Been around for 30 yrs. I don’t have a chart never have. All the people I’ve talked to who use these nutes. Run around the 1000-1500 ppm most don’t use calmag. From what I understand. With legalization now more and more people are at the grow stores with pics and are open to talking about what they use and how much. Years ago no body talked and wore sunglasses in the grow stores. Lol

Yes I’m in it for the long haul. This strain “bubba kush” is sure different then all the others I’ve grown. I didn’t take a pic but it looks better this am. It’s not the plant that has the yellowing. I’m convinced now I need to separate bubba from my system. The nutes need to be very different then what I would call normal.
Thanks very much for your help Aqua. I’m sure will figure this out.

Well I'm along for the ride and will help where I can. Different strains have different nutrient needs or likes for that matter. I always run a single strain in my system... But that's not to say it can't be done because it can

Opposite for me. Never once ran all one strain in the RDWC.
