10 out of 12 WW seeds germed and when the taproots were about 1cm i put them into soil, after 3 days they stil havnt sprouted. Could it be from over watering or i think i may have packed the soil a bit too compact...anyone exp dis? Will they show soon or are they dead?

They are all fems and tll be such a waste if they dont sprout. I just need a reason and if ders anyway to fix it.

Pretty hard to tell you anything from your discription. You could of overwatered since you don't say what your pot size is, what type of soil you used or even how deep you planted them. We can't tell how hard you packed the soil so it might be that but I would say 3 days isn't enough to even worry yourself. Give it at least a week before you start freaking out.

could just be that you are impatient;-)... give em a day or two more before you start to worry... dont know what you have goin on, but you want a light, airy soil (idealy) for starting your seeds... just keep the soil good n moist, but not wet... should be fine.

which way up did you put the seeds?

if you put them with the root down ( shoot) down then thats wrong, they will probably be ok but they have to go up and out the ground then back in before the other end with the seed on it comes out and cracks open with the leaves.

I have used egg cups to put the seeds in, And i placed the seeds with the root down which is wat ive been told to do...How could that be wrong? I waterd them first and it was realy 'mushy' so i jus gently packed it down.. I left them outside and it dried out a bit and the soil went kinda hard asin took the shape of the egg cups.. I have attached a pikture of what i have placed the seeds in.
I guess i placed them about 2 cm deepbecause theres not really that much depth in the cups plus i heard they will come up a bit faster that way.

I think that i am just being impatient but have a look at the pic and tell me what you think.

well the root likes to go up and out first which is the correct way, may work the other way though but the natural way serves to stregnthen the plant. look into the botany of cannabis, not just grow guides!

I use peat pots to plant my seedlings in. they cost next to nothing and you just plant them in the final pot and the roots go through.hard to tell anything from your pic other than you're going to have to seperate them at some point.

did you put them into dry soil and then water them or did you water the soil let it drain a little and then put the seeds in,

because if you did the first then seeds could be anywhere in that pot now

ok people i have left it behind my television, and i hope they come out in a couple of day but if they dont that meens im gonna have to yet again plant a load of bagseeds!

I watered the soil before i placed them in..i guess i didnt let the taproot grow long enough so it might be a while for them to sprout and just so you know, they are in 10 seperate egg cup which i can easily get them out to transplant i also have a see thru plastic donut box i have put them in to act as a humidity dome.

Ill come back in a couple of days if they dont pop.
thanks

Ok, so i had planted one of the seeds a couple of days after the others because it took longer to show its taproot, and now it has popped above the soil..
Im, starting to think the others are dead! because they had at least a 2 day headstart and they still havnt come up. There all in the same soil same water and everything. ima giv it half a week more then im gonna presume them dead. Damn!
thanks guys

when i first grew and germed with paper towels i planted all my seeds ROOT TIP DOWN.
(worked perfectly on all seeds).

It dosen't matter how long it takes a seed to germinate. I give a seed 2 or 3 days myself 2 germinate, after that I toss them, lol. After the seed cracks, give the taproot atleast 2 to 3 days of growing before planting them in soil (that way your new root is atleast 1/2" - 1"). Dig'em up and see, you might have buried them to deep. I've had seeds buried to deep, had 2 dig'em up, and replant them so they would break soil.
