I don't know what the hell I'm doing

So I added a spiral light, I didn't see how many watts, I said 1600 lumens, is that OK?? Don't have the money right now to buy really nice lights so I figured to hit it with everything I have until I can get good ones. I have another led ordered that's red and blue and white but it hasn't arrived, I'll that too when it gets here. What I got in there now really made a big change the grow room Andrea since I added the one bulb last night i can already see the change in it. Thanks for the advice. It definately needed more light. My husband says a weed is a weed, it's gonna grow, but I tell him ya it'll grow but I want it to grow good not all scraggly lol

Add about four of them, the more light the better.

Get an epub reader for your phone, plenty out there, or download Adobe reader for your phone, you need something that can open pdf files.

I got my paws on an 18W 2700K Phillips LED replacement bulb and whipped off the globe. She pulls 50K lux 5" above my light meter.

A couple of them and that might make the difference since it's so directional, unlike CFL.

Would certainly work to replace that nasty blurple thing (And I made the mistake of buying them things from China too, waste of money. You live and learn), but they do cost more than CFL

Well I added an LED 100w bulb and a big spot light, it's really putting off a lot of light and I can tell they love it. I looked healthy already but now they have their leaves reaching up high. I hope in a few days I'll see some growth. I measured them today one is 4 1/2 in tall and the other is 8 in tall, do I'm keeping a journal on how much they grow each day. If I don't see more grown and leaves. I'm gonna try to find more lights to flood the place with. I also topped the bigger one. I'm training the leaves to make then like a canopy. Keep ya updated

Be careful with how close the plant gets to the LED if you've taken the diffuser globe off, I found out the hard way what happens if a leaf touches a LED, you get a white spot burned in instantly and that is not healthy when something's supposed to be green.

Oh, and be aware of ventilation, you don't want Leaf Spot Fungus like I'm busy treating or mould growing on your dirt either, best make sure you have a fan blowing to keep the air circulated if you don't have that already.

You might guess that I like passing on tips on how to avoid my feck ups...

Change the light period to 12 hours for 9-10 days then back to 18/6, sex the plant to make sure its a female.
Keep it alive (thats about all your light is capable of) till spring and put it out in the sun in a big hole you have dug and prepared. Have extra lighting (like a backyard spotlight) for 4 hours after sundown until summer so it doesnt flower again till Autumn.

Well i added some decent lights and it loves it!!! It shot up 3' in 2 days! I did burn one finger on one of the leaves cause the new light gets hot so i lowered the table and raised the light now it's doing really good! It won't be long till it's time to change the lights to 12/12. I'm just gonna be patient and watch what it does.

Well iI jus got done redoing my grow closet lol. I added some big ass lights, and a couple of those strip lights that have the red and blue for flowering AND I repotted them into way bigger pots. I had no idea their roots were so long! One of them had roots growing out the drain holes. I really hope I didn't hurt them. I was as gentle as i could be but some of the little skinny hair like roots broke off! Do you think they will be OK? I have them a dose of super thrive to help them not shock.

What the hell do you mean i just want to be spoon fed? I hesitated even signing up on this site because there's always who problems with "newbies" and I didn't want the hassle of someone acting like i was an idiot. This might be my first indoor grow but I'm not new to this game. I really don't know how to navigate this site yet. I used to help my daddy when I was little but he always grew his forests outdoors. Unfortunately he had a stroke and he can't come look at them, and i sure can't load them up and take them to his house for his advise. So thank you to the folks who were considerate enough to give me some advise. It really really helped.

Turn off all the lights in the closet n get in
Wait 5 min for your eyes to adjust, take note of the light leaks, fix them till there are no leaks .

I'm sure there's no light leaks, I got them in a room that no one uses but the cat lol, so as long as he keeps the lights off there won't be any light to leak in. I have my timer set to go off when I go to bed so all the lights in the house are off and then there's a big blanket covering the closet too, so it's good. I guess I didn't hurt the roots cause they're not wilted or anything. I guess it'll take a couple days for them to start growing again tho. I'm thinking they are repairing the roots that broke then they will start back growing their leaves. All in all they look happy.

Light= When you buy your light make sure you factor in the actual wattage used. Most CFL run about 12 to 16 actual watts per bulb. As far as lumens is concerned you want about 2000 lumens per square foot.

Soil= Use premium soils such as fox farms ocean soil or some equivalent brand. This is the best way for a newbie to start off fresh because it is nutrient loaded and phd from the start. You do not need to add nutrients to the soil until about four weeks, after that time period slowly start add in nutrients. Do not go by the directions, always start off slow. Watch the leaves for stress while you add nutrients and if they do show stress flush the pot several times and start over with a weaker amount. The only way to measure nutrients imo is with a ppm meter, that way you know exactly what your plants receive, no guesswork.

U definitely need a bigger and deeper pot, also lights need to have a higher lumens ratio.
You mentioned 1200 in the post,that is the lumens that come off the bulb.
You need higher lumen bulbs.
Cheap led light panels can give you around 5000-7500 lumens per light.
These lights are good enough for first time growers and get the job done,but they will vary in price depending where u live.
