I bought a "blurple" - what can I expect?

Note: I turned the exposure compensation way low for the photos of the setup, so the light looks a lot dimmer than it is. If I had not done so, the lights would have caused blown out highlights on the plants.

Let's examine nature and human health. And yes, there is a correlation

In case you just arrived on the planet, it is documented that people who work 40+ hours a week indoors have vitamin D deficiencies, which often leads to disease. Their offspring are genetically predisposed to this deficiency and subsequent diseases, which seem to have no known cause. ditto plants

Now another problem is that much blue light is extremely bad for your eyes

So to save a few bucks, are you really willing to sacrifice your health and eyesight?

Use at your own peril

lol.. people are fucking brutal.

But, yeah.. a buddy of mine grows under purple, a 1000 watt King something and a 300 watt LED.

Ive found that the plants stay extremely short, about a foot tall if that, with minimal stretch and he can usually get 1-2 zips per plant running four to five plants. But he exaggerates his final weight and I know for a fact the potency from the stuff I've had wasnt there, but he cuts too early so it could be shitty practice more than the lights affecting overall quality. Also the buds are not large. And watch out for your critical kush.. the buds for that strain shrunk the most from wet to dry than any other strain ive grown out. Admittedly ive only grown maybe ten so far..

Anyway he recently gave me both of his lights to use so Ill try vegging in a tent (going to start a perpetual grow soon) and flower under a 600 watt hid to see what differences can be achieved.

I like the idea of keeping the plants short with tight internodal spacing before theyre flipped so based in what ive seen they might work just for that. But I wouldnt do a full run under these if i didnt have to..

Oh yeah I definitely would grow those out and see for yourself. Thats the fun of it and the only way to know. Then again, you might be overwhelmed and then do a different strain under those lights and have a completely different result. All in all it falls back to you. Right now your plants look healthy.. and thats always a good thing.

My buddy exaggerates about everything. He runs really healthy plants, which is more than i can say for myself, but pulls them too soon cause hes always low on weed.. ha ha. Its ridiculous.

I think you all get the point.
You're trying to tell these guys to go buy a jacked up 1 ton pickup just to drive on the highway. You don't need all that s*** if you're just growing for yourself he's not trying to make any money off of it. Overkill. for what he's doing.
