I am so scared now.

It was the night to water, when I went to the spot. I was examining the buds, taking my time instead of just watering. I am a very uneasy person to begin with, I am always on edge. Well, first and foremost - I am terrified of snakes. With the conditions of their home, there are high weeds and laid over grass where they could be laying. I got a vision that it wouldn't be a good night to do it. I kinda of just shrugged it off though.

Anyway, I am feeling the buds and stuff ; when, I hear something. It kind of sounded like an old raspy guy's cough. Only, not a person at all - It's early and nobody would be in that area anyway. It sounded like an animal, almost a hissing of a snake or maybe even a coyote. At first, I just acted like I didn't hear it. Then I heard it again. It scared me so bad, because I didn't know how close it was to me, whatever it was. I jumped and ran faster than I ever have before. I heard it again as I was running away, distinct fully. My heart is beating so fast right now. I have no idea what it was, but I never even got to water I was horrified. Any thoughts?

:?:cry::-|

Even if it was a racoon, I don't want rabies. I don't even think we have racoons around this part. If we do, I've never seen one.

it was a deer snorting. also snakes don't like to hang around high weeds, you are much more likely to find them out in the open sunning themselves. (although they do like to stretch themselves out with their tail at base of plant and their wagging head just poking above the buds snapping and hissing, no just kidding)

how are you going to be afraid of an animal that not even half your size, and running is the worst thing to do, anmials will chace if you run

First suggestion stop getting high before you go out lol.Next you do have raccoons if your in the US as they are in all states.If it snorted it might have been the suggested deer but if your in NY like the location says could bee a bear.Go in day light and look for trees with high scratches or low scratched in the bark.Look for bare dirt spots of grass on branches.High marks would be a bear low marks, bare dirt or grass in branches a deer or similar animal.Just relaxe.Snakes wont be out at night real to much as they are cold blooded and will be conserving heat.

That is what I am scared of. They have been popping up in backyards everywhere! You never even know. Do bears eat weed?

Most wild animals are more afraid of you. Next time you hear something in the woods stand up, stomp your feet on the ground and make a little noise. Most animals in north America will run away from loud noises......unless its big foot or chupacabra, they will eat you alive.

It's all too sketchy for me, too many weird things have been happening. I watered and I believe this will be my last time. I might wait a week and do a water flush. Then harvest. However, I think I have plenty now. Looks like a great amount to me, I don't see why I should wait and risk having something happen to them.

you'll be fine. i heard a can of starter fluid is good to have. if, and that's a BIG IF, something were to come after you starter fluid in the face will stop it.:mrgreen: go take care of your plants. you can't go this far and then pull them to early. they really pack on the crystals at the end. and the buds tighten up. they may look fat now but they will shrivel up to nothing. carry a big stick my friend.:peace:

You are right, I guess paranoia is just kicking in. It's really scary outdoors, I doubt I will do it again. Scary for so many reasons, it is the public. I want to do indoors next grow, it's the best bet. Thank you for your kind words.

Being upstate NY, it is probably a deer. Believe it or not, Jersey and NY are full of deer, and it is getting late in year and they are probably out a little more to fatten up for the coming winter.

Or it could be those damn elusive Snipes.
