HIJACK away...I just THANK YOU for any info on this deal.:peace:

friends rapitest showed 6.5 ph slight acid.

More pics...buds have lots of stgimas but not much resin , some are thick others are spindles...same seed stock for all.

Just some idiot
6.5 isn't too bad for soil. I've HEARD that 6.0 to 7.0 is good. I personally PH to 6.7. KP knows her stuff so flush the plants and get them ready for some new nutes. Good Luck.

imo, the rapitest is unreliable at best, and just plain wrong on any other day :p lol, seriously, i have one, i keep it around just to laugh at it  i'll take comparison pix if you like...

the pool and pond test strips are pretty accurate, and will pretty much keep you within .4 +/- . but, as i said before, with soil, ph is really not so much of an issue.

as fdd said, there may be an overwatering issue? how often do you water, and how fast does the soil dry? how often have you been feeding with the super phosphate?

also, the super p will cause issues and make your plants produce much less resin than they should. cannabis uses more potassium than phos in flower. AN has a relatively new product called hammerhead. i went with a trusted friend's advice and got some myself.... i have never ever ever seen bud production like i have this run. gh has quite a bit to do with that, but hh is simply amazing stuff. i have to take pix tonite, i'll show you what i mean.

kp

ps, if i'm way off topic or something, it's because i'm very ...... yeah :p

YOUR RIGHT ON TOPIC ! The pieces are comeing togeather..that fert has to GO ! I let them dry to almost a wilt before I water.

yep, def the super p then. get rid of it. do you have access to a hydroponic store, or can you order your nutes? if so, i highly recommend two products (four actually)... gh three part formula, and florakleen. use the fk to flush your plants, and it will be done in a day. then start up with the gh formula. you will notice overnite improvement.

holy crap!!! stop using super phosphate now!!!!!!

if that's all you have, replace it with mg 15-30-15 or the african violet mix. that is way way WAY too much phosphate, the rust spots are the beginning of a toxicity and lockout, which is probably causing your mg deff.

the n def is still normal, don't worry about it

kp
You don't need my help kp, you got it under control :)

Over-fertilised as you said, nutrient far to strong and given far too frequently. I rarely suggest flushing, but with that kind of feeding there has to be considerable salt buildup, so might be worth considering feeding with plain water for a while or perhaps a gentle and mild flushing through with a very mild nutrient solution.

The deficiences are far less of a concern than the over-fertilisation in my mind and once all those salts are removed, I suspect things will sort themselves out def wise.

Heya kp

Have you ever come across or used GH's Ripen? I got some at the weekend. As I understand it - it can be used several ways. As a finishing/flushing solution for the last two weeks, as a method of speeding up harvest and the one I was most interested in - as a method of halting veg growth in Sativa dominant plants at the switch to 12/12, because it contains no Nitrogen, (an excess of which can cause stretching in Sativa's as 12/12) but some P, K and Mg.

Also, have you come across Algoflash? I've heard this is an excellent general purprose fertiliser at the right NPK ratio's.

i haven't tried either of those, but i'll keep an eye out for them.

the hammerhead is a supplement, a canna specific additive made for three part or other specialized nutrient formulas. hh is a pk formula 0-9-18. this is my first time getting a chance to really up the potassium, and i can say it has made an incredible difference. i'd been hearing from a friend about adding k in flower increasing yields, but i realy had no idea.

hh ups the ppms quite a bit, but i've only experienced minor burns, and short lived at that.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Stop the nutes but you may also wanna flush a few day with clean water to get the nute lock opened again also may want to change the soil or put in bigger pots with more new soil to drop the levels and get a cleaner start.

Ann ,

Thanks for the pictures and the questions. The conversation and the last three pages of posts have also helped me. Thank you all for the responses. I was a bit worried about my babies and then KP suggested something and then from reading I am getting insight on what I need to look for and do.

You are all so great at helping thank you so much!

good luck ann and keep us posted I will be watching this thread to see what happens........

Yea Plant Might Be Getting Too Much Fertilizer Its In Budding Stage So Some Dieing Of The Leaves Are Normal And Should Be Takin' Off. But Yea Lower The Phosphate And Should Probly Only Start Feeding It Water 2 Week Before Harvest. Also You Might Want To Drench Your Pot With Water To Let The Excess Fertalizer And Salt Buildup Drain Out.

All girls have been flushed with 2 gallons of water...what a drag:? but worth it.
I will go with 15-30-15 when I fert them again.

I am limited on what items I can find....backwards mini town  until I go into the city.

THANKS:joint: kindprincess That resin tip was GREAT..It realy had me confused as to why so little resin.

Just take it easy on that 15-30-15 fertiliser - it's extremely potent. At 5 mil per Gallon of water you're already at about 1.1-1.5 EC - and it's far too high.

Start at about half that and see how you get on - 2.0-2.5 mil per gallon and don't feed it every watering - feed it at least one plain watering inbetween.
