I hope something good comes of it all.
If it doesn't this time, maybe next time, or the next.
I just wonder how many will end up in pine boxes because of recalcitrance, ego, and greed.

Still havent read accept for the last pot Duchie.
I attended occupy denver today, people had allot to say and the cops were lurking all over paddy wagons ready and all... I am doing fine financially but still know and feel the frustration we are all dealing with.

"i know the pieces fit because I watched them tumble down"
And I have been heading more and more into this direction:

"Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this

Bullshit three ring circus sideshow of
Freaks

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any fucking time. Any fucking day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your contract and
Fret for your car.

It's a
Bullshit three ring circus sideshow of
Freaks

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any fucking Time. Any fucking day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits.

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will cuz
I sure could use a vacation from this

STUPID shit, silly shit, stupid shit...

One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.

Learn to swim.

Mum's gonna fix it all soon.
Mum's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to
be.

Learn to swim.

Fuck L Ron Hubbard and
Fuck all his clones.
Fuck all these gun-toting
Hip gangster wannabes.

Learn to swim.

Fuck retro anything.
Fuck your tattoos.
Fuck all you junkies and
Fuck your short memory.

Learn to swim.

Fuck smiley glad-hands,
With hidden agendas.
Fuck these dysfunctional,
Insecure actresses.

Learn to swim.

Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mum please flush it all away.
I wanna see it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Time to bring it down again.
Don't just call me pessimist.
Try and read between the lines.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't
Welcome any change, my friend.

I wanna see it come down.
Bring it down.
Suck it down.
Flush it down."

New tattoos that claimed that he
Was OGT,

Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.

So I've got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,

If I'm the fuckin' man
Then you're the fuckin' man as well
So you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.

All you read and
Wear or see and
Hear on TV
Is a product
Begging for your
Fatass dirty
Dollar

So...Shut up and

Buy my new record
Send more money

Oh man, I just put two and two together. I heard this story already before this and didn't make the connection. I'm sure being what we all do that's understandable right? Anyway, I read the story from his side and he admits to giving the cop a bit of a dirty look as he passed by him. They didn't get him though because the cops and protesters played Tug O War with him and the protester won and got him out of there.

[UPDATE] HIV Positive Protester Says Cop Who Punched Him Should Get Tested

(Christopher Robbins/Gothamist)
[UPDATE BELOW] During the chaotic Occupy Wall Street march through the financial district this morning, we witnessed a protester on William Street get punched in the face by a police officer, seemingly without provocation. He says the officer hit him so hard his earring got knocked out, but he managed to escape arrest. We caught up with the protester later: his name is Felix Rivera-Pitre, and he told us what happened and how he got away. Rivera-Pitre, who is HIV positive and used to be a dancer, tells us he was walking a little bit in front of the police on William Street, and admits he "shot the cop a look." But then, according to Rivera-Pitre (and this is in line with what we witnessed), "The cop just lunged at me full throttle and hit me on the left side of my face. It tore my earring out. I remember seeing my earring on the ground next to me and it was full of blood. I was completely dumbstruck. I'm HIV positive and that cop should get tested."
Asked how he escaped, Rivera-Pitre says, "The cops were pulling me by my feet and the crowd was pulling me by my hands, and I was suspended in the air. But there were more people than cops, and they pulled me out." The police were seen searching for Rivera-Pitre in the crowd, but somehow he managed to slip away.

I am in no way taking up for the cop's but there are laws and rules to protests believe it or not. When you have thousands of people blocking exits to buildings that is a fire hazard as defined by city code, when you have thousands of people impeeding traffic that is an issue as well. People have the right to protest and assemble but you have to follow certian rules never the less. To compound that you always have idiots like the women going topless as if that was going to do something other than create problems of it's own. It never fails that the loonies and followers that just want to start shit under the cover of something positive always show up and incite things out of a feeling to be a part of something regardless of their feelings about it.

It is simple, protest all you want and if an officer of the law asks you to do something like move away from exits, stay out of traffic, and other reasonable things just do what they ask and keep on protesting. The problem is when the officer asks you to do something like that these idiots get in their face and ignore them and incite things. There is no doubt that the officers are outnumbered in these situations and they are trying to keep things cival because they know how one little incident can cause a mass reaction that could be very harmful to them as well as other bystanders. If you act like an ass you get your ass kicked and that is common sense.

Doobie,
The guys hair had nothing to do with his ass kicking his stupid decision to do what he did lead to the outcome.
As far as all the CEO's and Wall Street Traders ect.... everything they do is legal as far as the letter of the law goes for the most part. The reason it is legal is because that is what happens when you let lawyers write the laws and become politicians. That is what we need to deal with as a people in this country. At one time in this country a contract that was not understandable by the lay person would not hold up in the court of law because it was devicive. What do we have now the exact oppisite why, because lawyers got involved.
Did you feel the same way about the tea party's demonstrations when they were happening?

Being a bit of a history nut I watched some of the Martin Luther King special on CNN last night. The march on Selma Alabama was shown. For all those who don't know, it was about equal rights for blacks. The resistance black folk endured was typical from the status quo or in other words the people with power. Why is it that every time people rise in protest against things that are morally and ethically wrong, the powers that be first try to ignore them, then try to demonize them and finally when that fails try to beat them into submission?

Most americans are fed up with what's happening in america today between corporate america and our government. The time has come to step out into the streets and we should expect to be ridiculed, ignored and beaten if we want our voices heard. It is how those in power respond to threats to their golden apple.

It's finance and capitalism that separated us in the first place. Finance and budget have everything to do with what's happening here. It is a very big part in why everyone is uniting.

Here's another sad truth about the one percent of the wealthiest americans, more than a few occupy seats in either the house of representatives or the senate. I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing but what I do have to question is whether people who have that kind of money really understand the hardships millions of americans now endure.

We need term limits and to stop the revolving door of business to elected office to lobbying or consulting. Representatives should have no more than four years of service no matter their merits or lack of them. Two two year terms and then out of government and everything to do with government. Senators terms should be knocked down to four years and again, two terms only and then out of government. We can change things. Stop sending the same people back to washington every blasted election. I'm not sure in my mind that there is another city on earth that corrupts people in so many ways as washington d.c.

I have this thing that I firmly believe about our democratic system, we get the government we deserve. Mostly we americans are apathetic to anything that doesn't affect us. We are in so many ways that lazy american so many people around the world view us to be. We have free elections yet look at our turnouts election after election, piss poor. We turn out for presidential elections when it's local and state elections that really matter. Many of us are uninformed and choose to stay that way. Never underestimate the power of stupidity and fear and our media sells fear constantly, hell, they even give us a damn color everyday to tell us how scared we should be of a terrorist attack on any given day, really?

We must protect the job creators at any and all costs, even if it means sacrificing over half the people in america who are not a part of the one percent. Lowe's cutting two thousand jobs today, do you think it will effect the pay of executive management? Taxes are at their lowest rates in seventy five years...where are the jobs? We need more tax cuts for large multinational corporations and less regulation is what's being said by the republicans, really? Why are my tax dollars going to Exxon-Mobil, do they really need corporate welfare?

The republicans took control of the house of representatives with the promise of creating jobs. Not only have they created none, they refuse to let the President of the United States of America to try. The powers that be in the GOP are nothing but attack dogs for corporate america. That's my humble opinion.

It's finance and capitalism that separated us in the first place. Finance and budget have everything to do with what's happening here. It is a very big part in why everyone is uniting.
Its not real capitalism that is the problem, its crony capitalism, we don't have real capitalism like we used to.

Repeal of Glass Steagel(1999)+ Superpacs (2010) = Sealed the deal for a select few corporations running the show...it used to be that corporations had the same rights as people...but as of 2010 they now have more rights then people, not only that but they are above the law. The FED enables them.

The monatary system is the thing that fosters crime and suffering and holds us back as a civilization. That would be the ultimate demon, the satan if you will, consumerism, money..the root of all evil.... Socialism, Capitalism, Fascism...these are all creations of the monetary system. As it stands....They are printing money from thin air..Their power over us is with few limits.

If the monetary system is not going to go away all together, well then, Free Market Capitalism is the only thing that will work for America in baby-steps. After-all, we are capitalist, so lets be fair capitalist, lets be as free as you can be with a monetary system and believe in liberty and the pursuit of happiness and the republic, not the "democracy" - mob rule 51%'ers.....we need to look at the 99%

This protester overly negative and sensational but he said it pretty well..

Great input guys, thanks for that. Great video as well deprave, I love the passion in his argument and it's good to see. I'll never claim to have all the answers or know all the facts. I can only know what I see and learn through day to day life. Some comes to me and a lot I go looking for. I try not to stick to one side when looking either, that's not the way I am. I don't avoid fact and just push them aside because it's not what I want to hear or it doesn't fit into my beliefs or agenda. Many times having the tough discussions with my wife and she doesn't want to talk anymore because it's not pleasant and I can't do that. I can't sweep truth under a rug.

Now, we might not all agree with each other. Some not at all and others we sort of agree but not with everything. Well hell, it's not an easy thing we're talking about here, trying to figure out how to fix the world. It boggles the mind. There is no magic wand solution, but the main thing here is that we are finally engaging in passionate civil protest in large numbers and making people take notice. Hopefully this will force the kind of real dialouge and democratic process that works and not the kindergarten type stuff we're seeing now.

Heads up, it's no different up here. If I didn't know better I'd think you were talking our politics. Stacked Senate and hand picked Superior Court Judges to oil the squeaky wheel.

So I took some pictures today where I was working. It used to be a full-fledged saw mill but now only makes telephone poles down to fence posts and with the bark makes mulch. These pictures are from a right to work state, in other words, complain and you're fired. Here's the question, your place of work supplies you a toilet and sink to take care of your bodily functions. How would you feel if the bathroom you had to use looked like this. Today is october 19th, 2011. This is what the employer really thinks of the people who work there.
