hygrozyme = soapy bubbles/froth and brown stuff maybe nitrate turning to nitrite

ok, I never used any kind of enzyme or additive with my dwc set up and was successful for about a year no problems. I started adding hygrozyme a couple weeks ago and have been going through some things. First off, I am convinced Hygrozyme causes bubbles/froth in a well aerated res. Second, I am 90 percent sure it will also cause some rusty color algae looking stuff in your res and on your airstone. My theory is that hygrozyme really jump starts the cycle of bacteria in your res. It's the same concept as fish tanks needing to cycle before the water gets right. The nitrates have to break down in order to produce nitrite and thus feed the beneficial bacteria, but at first you will have alot of protein (froth) and/or brown algae type stuff in the water. Has anyone else experienced these kinds of side affects from using Hygrozyme or any other enzyme additive??

so after alot of research and the application of bennies it seems the bad stuff was eating the hygrozyme faster than good, added some oregonism xl and all is looking great
