The democrat state of MN reverses the ban on hydroxychloroquine:

Though his critics are likely loath to admit it, there’s reason to believe the president may have been on to something. In recent weeks a chorus of voices in the medical community has emerged to challenge the view that hydroxychloroquine is ineffective as a COVID treatment. Dr. Harvey A. Risch, a professor of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, said a full analysis of the literature suggests hydroxychloroquine may be the key to defeating the coronavirus.
“Physicians who have been using these medications in the face of widespread skepticism have been truly heroic,” Risch wrote in Newsweek, adding that a full review of the COVID literature on the drug shows “clear-cut and significant benefits.”
Prescribing hydroxychloroquine in the early stages of the virus is key, Risch said, and others agree. Steven Hatfill, a veteran virologist and adjunct assistant professor at the George Washington University Medical Center, says the literature supporting hydroxychloroquine is overwhelming.
“There are now 53 studies that show positive results of hydroxychloroquine in COVID infections,” Hatfill wrote in RealClearPolitics. “There are 14 global studies that show neutral or negative results -- and 10 of them were of patients in very late stages of COVID-19, where no antiviral drug can be expected to have much effect.”

i thought you died..good to see you back:hug:

@UncleBuck will be happy- he's been pining away...calling out to you..no answer.

also, stupid is as stupid does..he caved to pressure from the Trumper hillbillys..southern accents in MN- who knew?

The reason it’s unclear is that Walz has been mum on why he rescinded his order. There’s been no announcement or new stories. Local lawmakers told me they had no idea Walz had reversed course.

How did Trump have this super awesome knowledge of this obscure drug so early?

Anyways, I think the problem is more that there are no blind studies with just Hydroxiwhatever as the only treatment. Like Dr. Fauci said in his hearing, if there is a clear benefit people will find it.

That guy seems to be more pointing out that the drug may work if given right away based on reading those other papers. It doesn't mean that those papers were not Academic troll work like these guys did. Until then I think the problem is that there is not enough actual proof for it to become a universal 'truth' in medicine, and at that point it is up to the patients doctors, and I am sure if enough of them were getting results of it, outside of cultists, there would be a convergence in the medical community by now on using it.

Edit:
I think of what the professor is saying more as "If Hydrowhatever works, it will be if it is given right away, but that doesn't mean that it will work, based off the literature'.

Not one study that used a blind placebo showed any positive results using it and most studies showed a higher death rate. Keep taking the shit, it's getting rid of a bunch of idiots and that's the only positive thing about it.

Hmm, the ravings of fringe lunatics peddling junk science or the overwhelming opinion of responsible medical professionals.

I can see why you are torn @Bugeye.
Uganda is a country in Africa that doses almost everyone to fight malaria. A country of 42 million,Uganda has only 13 covid death so far.
The stuff only costs ten cents per dose. That's why we can't have it

Is there a lot of foreign travel into Uganda (landlocked in the middle of Africa) to have had as much exposure?

I don't know much about that part of the world, and just at a glance seems like it might just be one of the last places to get hit maybe. I don't believe that there was some special knowledge of our Dear Leader, unless there is some criminality shenanigans going on. And I have faith that mostly humans are not pieces of shit until they get caught and don't want to get punished or want more, so I don't think doctors worldwide are hiding that this drug works for their patients if it did. And hospitals still have it, it is used in other patients for things it has been proven to help.

As best I can tell, nobody has been forced to take it, but some democrat representatives have taken it with reported success after contracting Covid. My understanding is that it allows for Zinc to be more readily transferred to cells needing it for fighting covid. It would therefore not make much sense to do a study with hydroxychloroquine only. Most use is in conjunction with antibiotic Z Pak, increased vitamins. But hold fast if you are opposed to it for political reasons, lol.

Outside of that one politician in Detroit?

Only Trump's cult is working hard to politicize this.

Edit: As you can clearly see from the title of this thread.
