Hydroponics - Red Butterhead from Seed

Hi there Gents,
I've just started an experiment growing lettuce from seed.

Seedling Chamber (as of now):
-White runoff tray / clear dome
-few sheets of mylar to save those precious photons
-65 W 6500k CFL

DWC Tank:
-5 gal black Bucket
-lid with four, 3" net pot sites
-60 gal air pump w/ 1 disc and 1 bubble tube.
-2x 35W, 6500k CFLS
-Maxigrow / Superthrive
-PH will be balanced to 6-6.5 (hopefully)

The plants are just now 8 days from sprout (13 from seed).

The seeds were germinated in small expandable grow discs, once they were big enough I transferred 4 into rockwool cubes. Initially I put them in the DWC, but the cubes were getting too wet and the plants were a bit young, so I placed them in a small Tupperware container with a serious amount of light (probably too much light). I also had a bit of a PH balancing issue with the DWC, which is sorted out now (didn't know that super-thrive was so acidic).

Today (8th day from sprout) I gave the growing youngins a bath in a PH balanced solution of Maxigrow/Superthrive. Hoping to transfer them into the DWC by next monday

'till later - Peace, love, and all the best

Looking good. If you have the money I would invest a little into getting or building a better seedling area. I started with some DVD cases and cardboard and few other things then I went from there and upgraded.
