This is my first hydroponic grow and really going to use this as a real learning experience more than anything. I am about to get ready to move actually in a couple weeks to a better place that will allow me to dedicate a room rather than a closet to growing. For the time being I will share what I have going on and keep updating this thread as often as I can. I will post a couple pics of what I have started and what I plan to do with them here shortly. Please feel free to follow along and ask questions. We can all learn together.

SDC10718.jpg5-31-11 2.jpg5-30-11Week 1 Seedlings in Hydrosystem.jpgThe first couple pics are of one of my girls that I am a few weeks from finishing up in soil. The next few pics are of some seedlings I have starting rockwool cubes and transplanted them into a bubbling dwc system. It is not a large system, because I would at this time prefer to keep it small because of my plans. I am going to use these four plants as quick mothers hopefully. Once I get set up in my new crib I plan on taking clones and transplanting into a top feeding drip system to flower shortly, and then into a flood & drain table system for flower. Here are the pics I have right now. Enjoy and I will update soon.

lift the edge of the top of your res and see if its pitch black dark inside. If it isn't, you're going to want to light proof the bin before you've got big ol' plants in the way and a tub full of algae

You might want to think about covering the pots as they also contribute to light leaks in the rez as well as it cuts down on algae growth on the top of the cube as well. Algae growth on the cube leads to stem rot and possibly death.

Just a couple of thoughts to consider as I"m always looking for constructive criticism myself :)

I would rap the top lid in mylar. Heck, I'd even rap the bottom section in mylar as well.. 2 fold benefit: No light in your res at all, and it will also aid in keeping your res a bit cooler. Like an insulator, if you will.

you could also add more hydrotten to those net pots...I love growing in totes, the growth rate is incredible :)

Looking good man, good luck with it :)
