Ok so I finished my first grow using ffhf soil, I grew 6 different strains. Now I was wonting to get yalls opinion bc I chose 3 of the 6 strais to use as mother for the ebb@flow sog grow im starting, I chose blimburn cr+, hso purple trainwreck, and Nirvana superskunk, the reason I chose them is bc they all finish relatively close to the same time and in soil all seemed to be pretty happy with the same ppm levels. I figur if 1 strain give me trouble I can ditch it and keep the best 2. Do yall think its a good idea to run more then 1 strain in 1 3x6 flood table ? Oh, and they all fineshed up around the same hight. Ill be growing in 4x4x4 rockwool cubes under 1800w hps, thanks

You can do whatever you want. I'm sure there are many people out there that do multiple strains on one table but if you choose to do that there are things to think about.

Are they the same flowering time?
Similar type of feeders?
If there becomes a problem with one strain and not another it will make it difficult to correct because you will be watering all of them with the same nutrients at the same time.
Is one more prone to pests?
Is one a sativa and one indica and will possibly create and uneven canopy?

I wouldn't, and never do that. I always keep it simple and do one strain on one table. Makes for easier troubleshooting.

I think the purple trainwreck migh be a lil more sativas dom, but all three plants finished within a week from each other and around the same size, and they all did really well on the same ppm scedual, but if 1 gives me a problem ill just scrap it

I run different stains all the time in my 'dro. At times, and with certain strains, it can be a little work. Just remember this: LESS IS MORE. Meaning,
fee them the lowest PPM they can take, you will be alright. Start seeing problems with some, up your nutes a touch, when issue stops, keep it there.

Wish you a good grow.............

Rock wool blocks are the way to grow in flood and drain set ups...one thing I would do is put down a mat first, the roots will be 2 feet long in 30 days...also cover the table with panda film and cut slits for the stems.Use a 6x6 net to control the heads.Take some cuts, grow the best next round.

Idk anything about coco mats, do they need to be treated or anything first? Do they require any extra additives? Also, I think since im gonna be doing single cola sog with different strains it might be a better idea to not use a mat so I can move them around to control and shape the canopy better.

Agreed. Easier to handle growth, problems that come up.

I'm a strain hog so I run different strains from seed in the same tray and yup there are hurdles lol. My goal is to find "the" one to run, it seems an elusive goal lol. As said earlier these issues can be over come but its not ideal. The harvesting at different times is not a huge issue for me as I'll leave enough popcorn on a early harvest plant to keep it alive until its time for the others. Nutrient needs are more complicated and if your not able to keep all strains happy then yield suffers.
