View attachment 1217343whats up gang i'm getting ready to upgrade my room and am thinking of giving the stadium style a shot. just woundering if any one has an advice on how i could set it up useing the ebb&gro system that i all ready have. the room is 7x10 the only way i could figure is to run drippers to the upper levels and have rain gutters catch the run off then return it to the brain bucket of the EG. maybe dripping for 15 min 5-6 times per 12hour cycle. then the bottom row running on the standard EG

I would say lose the controller. 2) figure out how to drain the water back to the 55 gallon res. via gravity or an in-line pump. (pump would require drain lines to be plumbed into one line..3) make a kick ass drip line. skys the limit.. maybe water 3 or 4 x's a day for 30 mins lights on. 4) "stadiums" favor vertical bulb set ups..

basicly the controller would just be a spot to catch the run off then be pumped back to the res.

yeah thats a good idea. drain the runoff into the controller bucket with only the drain pump plugged in so that when the float sensor aligns, the system will drain back to the res. sounds like it will work

yeah i cant see why it wouldn't. i just wounder if a shoulnt get another ebb&gro one for each side of the room? I dont know if 50g would be enought for 30-40 plants, or how I'd get the water from one side of the room to the other and back to the drain bucket.

The 55 gallon barrel resivoire will supply 30-40 plants. If you set the "stadium" up like your picture shows and place the controller on the ground, would'nt gravity bring the draining solution back to the "drain" bucket?.

bump for more stadium info.... plant distances, light distances, number of plants and veg time????

You need to be a little more specific, but I could probably help you out with some questions if you knew what you were asking.

As far as how to do the E&G vertically, methinks you'd have to convert it to a drip system and let gravity do the rest for you.

What lights do you have?

thanks for the intrest bob, what i was thinking is running 3 1000 hps in cool tubes centered and evenly spaced in a 7x10 area. in was thinking about 30-40 plants. I have the Ebb&Gro which i will use on the bottom row for sure, but the rest I'm not sure about Ithought about drip then retreive the run off in gutters and back to the res. I'm not sure of what size pump or what kind of drippers to use if any maybe just open drip line? seems that it would have to be a hellofa pump to drip even with say 20+ sites.

You're making things way, way, way more complicated than they need to be.

What equipment do you currently have, what is your current room setup, and what is your budget?

Let's start there.

as of now i have 2-1000's 1-600 and a 18 site ebb&gro window AC and a 15 pint dehumidifier. i dont currently use the 600. this is in a 4.5x8 room. I am going to expand the room to 7x11 and plan on adding 2 1000's, and keep the 600 for a mother light. Moneys money I got some but i sure would like to keep it so I'm limited to around 1500 for the expansion of the room and equipment.

I'd get four 1Ks and do what this gentlemen did - fuck, can't paste - look up username "sfzoo" at THCFarmer.com, thread title is "Stadium215 - Coco - Vert".

Unfortunately your E&Gs don't really lend themselves that well to altitude differences between the control and satellite buckets, so again I'd just do a little bit of plumbing and convert them into drip buckets.

Three levels (per side, so six levels in total), three buckets per level, a screen and four 1Ks and you'd be cooking with some gas for sure.

FYI, I doubt your window AC could keep up with four bare 1Ks, so you'd either have to upgrade that AC unit to a mini-split or forget about running a sealed room (or aircool your lights, but that could be a bit of a pain in the ass with vertical lights next to each other).

You might be better off going with 3 1Ks as you originally suggested.

Check out verticalgreen.org for a lot of good vert grows in the same neighborhood/thinking as yours is.

thanks bob I'll check him out. really you think 18 total plants and 4000 watts. by converting to drip do you mean use both buckets and use the feed fitting as the return line and drip to the top. I'm also a member @vertgreen but that site seams to be dead like 10 posts a week

Well 18 plants wouldn't be my first choice (but it's what you have on hand), and the wattage depends on how much you're looking to produce - 3K should be fine for 4-6 pounds per harvest (on the low end) once you get your system fairly dialed in.

If you didn't mind starting from "scratch" with growing mediums, I'd really do your best to replicate that link I sent you.

i've never tried coco but always wanted to so that is definitely a possibility. Thanks for the help bob, I got about a month left in the room as it is then the construction begins.
does anyone have a recommendation for a pump that will run 30 drippers with a vertical lift of about 4 feet. or drippers that dont clog

Forget the drippers , if u still want to run the ebb and gro system u can still,
My set up is stadium ebb and gro wit a control bucket on every tier , get one control buckets on every tier u have
Make sure it's all level and u ready to go! Like ur running it on flats but now on stadium styles ,
That's how i figure how to run ebb and gro stadium style! It was a bonus cuz I already have the systems and went wit
Verts!

I run two flower rooms with two tiers each. Kali Mist and Jack the Ripper. I run 600's bare and space the plants like 14 inches on center. They get like 45-50 inches with them going into flower at 12 inches from clone.

Like he said, a controller for each level. I advise that you buy a bigger pump than the one CAP provides for your supply lines to each controller. You want it to fill fast and drain fast. I use a Via Aqua 500 gph supply for each controller. I tried upsizing the drain pump in the controller but that didn't work because the bigger pump didn't sit low enough in the controller to pump all thats needed for the float valves to work properly. I would say 20 to 30 big plants per 55 gallon reservoir. If you can manage an auto-top off RO system with a float valve you will only have to check the ppms and ph daily and change reservoirs every couple weeks. No flushing, basic Lucas formula with wholesale nutes and PRIMO quality.
