I was wondering which of the hydroponic systems would be easiest to setup and what all i need to get the system up a running? Also, do you recommend hydro for a first time grow? I'm a fairly fast learner at things that im interested but i know somethings require a little bit of experience before they should be taken on.

thanks for that info....i may just go with that because i don't want to deal with making gathering all the materials...plus it seems like a pretty good price

well i do want to point out the following:
1. overpriced( you can build a cheaper/better one).
2. you will need lights.
3. you might need nuets( they do have pre made packages how good they are is not known to me).
4. will be crowded if you try to grow 6 full plants. might be better off with a SOG setup. allowing the 6 plants to get about 3 ft b4 inducing flowering. but this is just with the info I have gathered haven't actually tried it yet.

i think i will too. lol. i thought i was more difficult than that but ill have to see if i can find a materials list or something. and im well aware i need lights. i think im going with a 400 or 600 hps and mh setup (can use both bulbs with the package) its about 150 and it would suite my semi-small grow area(friends closet). plus it has the capability to be fan cooled which is a plus.

im still researching the nutes. im not sure which i should get. im hearing foxfarms and tigergrow both work well but im not sure for what stage and such.

dyi is the way to go bro ,it dont take much but if you dont have enough pationts to make the set up u wont have enough to grow do u got a local pet store? u can get pumps ,misters ,heaters

I am a first time Hydro grower and first time indoor grower i would really spend some time in my journal and read what i went through and what i did. I DID NOT CUT CORNER I DID IT 100% RIGHT. i have 3k in my setup could be done alot better if you knew what todo and what to buy first time out.

Do not buy a setup that come pre made, i did that and was stupid, just spend a little time, read my journal and i GUARANTEE you wont be sorry, you will know what to buy, what not to buy, any questions on specifics just ask me, i will do my best to help as much as possible.

I wouldnt be where i was if it wasnt for the people on RIU and there help, i will return the favor 10 full. my journal is my signature im sure will help, i was in the same boat as you 3 months ago. this is where i am now bro

I'm thinking about using the SCROG method for my first grow. I have a few questions though, see if you can answer them....

1. when taming the plant, i see people say pull the main cola's under the screen, what does that mean? thats the only part i dont get of it all
2. how do you build bubbleponics system. could you tell me what i need in terms of components? i want to do it myself but im not sure how to build it, i need directions

thanks in advance

the main cola is just the main top part of the branch like the top floors of a skyscraper thats all. and bubbles ponics basically is an air pump like for a fish tank with a bubble stone at the end of the air tube. this is so it keeps oxygen levels high in the water and keeps the nutes from just settlin in the bottom. really basic and easy to maintain!!! highly recommended!! jus spend a few hours a day ready up on the forum here and on the net and you'll have the know how to get it started and have a good chance for success!! trust me you'd rather spend a lil more time reading and findin the happy medium and jist of it all than to start and fail or to get them into flowering stage and fail!!!
