I am new to hydro systems. The plants are only 3 weeks old from seed. Personally i think they are looking lovely. what do you guys suggest. I am using CFLs and i know HPS and HID are better but too much money and heat for my little area. These seeds were gifted to me. one of them is blueberry no idea which one lol. I am using Sensi Grow Part A and B, along with using Budswell (earthworm castings, bat & seabird guano). My PH level is around 5.6-5.8. the room is about 74 Degrees and about 45% humidity.

Looks good so far your PH seems on point.... keep that reservoir water at 68 degrees and you should be fine.

Yea but do you get a chiller that fits into that small of a container and would transferring them into 5 gal bucket be better? My big plant in the back goes threw about 1 quart of water a day. Also i for got to add my feeding is at 1400ppm. each day my plants grow a large amount, because finally the roots have entered the water and they are exploding.

id transfer them into a 5 gal buckets asap. i usually take clones with well established root structures stright from a small bubble cloner to the 5 gal buckets and leave them there through veg and flower until complete!

yea i agree, i am just really curious if the size of the bucket matters so much, because those things are 1 gal, and curious how big of a crop i can get with a tiny container and if i really restricts the growth that much compared to a 5 gal container.

i would say deffinately, aside from space, temps are kept cooler in a bigger container so that will help with growth!

Well I have upgraded and going to be doing alot more upgrades, somehow my plants are flowering even though they are on a 24/7 light schedule. so well forced to start making clones. So same time i was like man i need to upgrade my lights, so i went out and bought a BadBoy 4ft 4 lamp with blue bulbs and red bulbs (4 of each). So this is the first time i cloned and well got the cloning gel so dunked them in that after cutting 45 degree and shaving the edges a bit, then stuck them in with the tips just touching the water. Hope that works. and loving the T%s over what i had, So much more light LOVING IT. So are the plants

i am going to be doing alot more to come, lol building the rest of my set up and then in 2 weeks when clones should be ready, you will see i am going to take up the entire desk, and will have LEDs all on the walls around the plant. :) hope it all works.

Here are the plants, they are looking good, one plant has spots on the leaves and i think that means i need a bigger reservoir because stunting the growth lol. then i changed from 1400PPM to 1000PPm because i got nut burn

...I was going to say something about that, you might want to ease your babies into that much nutrient, they will respond better with a little at first, starve them a little, and then hit them with the higher levels....also, you may want to check out the Lucas method of feeding....it works for me without fail......NICE PLANTS there.....

mike, you could pull a couple ounces off in those containers.
1gallon is fine, don't be in any rush to go big when you don't even have the room for that.

I prefer 3.5 gallon to the 5gal... I feel like 5 is the standard, but even that is just like EXTRA MEDIUM just to make more people happy.
Maybe 3.5 is more like extra medium?!!? They both have the same lids, So you can buy one of those Aerobucket lids or w/e I have an 8inch one that I put in my 1gallon, then switch to my 3.5 gallon whenever i feel like I HAVE to. I don't.

I don't know. But I got black plastic 1 gallon pales from the dollar store. Fit 8inch net pots into them and ran the airtube through the net pot(maybe that is frowned upon, but i didnt feel like drilling a hole. I do that already for my other reservoirs.
