Hydro problem

juicy fruit 003.jpgjuicy fruit 001.jpgjuicy fruit 005.jpgjuicy fruit 004.jpgi started these plants 8 or 9 days ago and for some reason on the bottom leaves they have some spotts it looks like heat stress but they are at 80 degress all the time and the 400 watt mh and t5 are far enough away and i am using foxfarm grow big and i am using like half strength then what it says to please any tips or help this is my first hydro grow juicy fruit 002.jpg
 
I dont use farm fox , dose it contain micro nutes? i know some of those companies sell it separate to try to make an extra buck.


I would say it looks like a micro nute deficiency.
 
dnt quote me on this m8 but u cud be over feeding slightly, are they seedlings and did you start them off in water without nutes.?

IS THIS THERE FIRST FEED.?

if so u mite want to lower ur nute strength coz ive found that they dnt like being fed alot at first.
do you have a truncheon - cf/ec/ppm meter.???
if so whats it reading.???
can u check ur tap water n give me the cf/ec reading just so i know how big the jump in strength was.
do you know wot ur ph is sittin at.??
 
Do you have anything to monitor the PH of the water? This is very important. I found that FF makes great products for dirt but they are not so good for hydro. FF also tends to be a bit strong, I would cut it down to 1/4 strength or less.
 
i dont think its has any micro nutes and i dont have a ph meter or do any readings i ask the hydro store when i bought it if i needed a ph meter and he said no just to change the water every week and it be ok i also dont use a cycle timer it runs all the time according to the ff bottle it says to use 2 teaspoons per gallon i put four and for water i use store bought spring water
 
keep your PPM's at 200 to 300 till they look strong enough to feed more .... Try Cal Mag ... Real light solution ... tone it down ...with your reg nutes . I would say they they need a lil N :)
 
Ive been runnin VAN SWAG- House and Garbage ( house and garden) for the last three years ...ALL Hydroton and have really great yields and high potency pending the type of girls... Im going to Cutting Edge Solutions which is a three part .. Im told these people know what there doing :) we will see
 
If you are doing hydro then you do need a ph meter; the guy at your shop is an idiot. You may be able to get away without a TDS/EC meter but I would highly recommend one. You can get a ph meter for like 10 bucks and a cheap ec/tds meter for about 18.

whoever told you that a ph tester is not necessary in hydro should lose their job. lol

Maintaining proper PH is one of the more important things you should be doing.

PS:Pics look like the beginning of nute burn.
 
Compared to General Hydroponics but better.... Some people like running both together.... but the Micro is better on the C.E.S. side ..... Ive had alot of success with my threads here ... Very thankful :) Best of grows
