Hydro nutes on soil, good or bad?

That's true, but can be ameliorated by using organic supplements like 1/8-1/4tsp molasses to promote microbial activity (regeneration), fulvic/humic acids, kelp, fish emulsion, etc.

It's all about balance for most people. Most people don't have time to make their TLO soil. That doesn't mean they have to "let perfection be the enemy of good."

I'm using Grow More Sea Grow. I like it's balance between synthetic (fast-acting) and organic (slow-acting) components. I add Liquid Karma, molasses, fish emulsion. I'm getting good results, no nute burn, no salt build-up (after I learned to watch for it and get my amounts fed correct). The smoke is smoother and richer than when I used purely synthetic GH 3-part.

It works good enough for me weighing the convenience versus "cooking" my own soil, brewing teas, etc.
Totally agree with both of you. I love the pain in the ass work + i have a small farm get free comoposted chicken, turkey, cattle earthworm mix. As for cooking i dont. I use less on soil amendments and enzyme (as a flush and to get the organics to break down in the soil) inbetween the teas for the first few weeks of bloom. week 7 also if its a 8 week plant. no left over residue. If they dont look right by all means cheat throw a good snythtic on it. im not a organic nazi just trying to save on bottom line while still making top shelf . i like all grow more products EZ WET SE is by far the best wetting agent its organic smells like malt is a pesticide and can be used with neem azamax whatever or stand alone if no bug problems.

i havent used liquid karma since 03 or 04. It used to come with way more humic (all u need) I was using full synthic or so called organics from botanicare. me and Larry of Home Grown Hydro quit using and recomending it. Just because they made us buy extra humic or fulvic. Its a awsome product and used to be way better
