hydro help

i have a hydro setup and my 6 part irrigation feed for drip watering into the netted pots some of the tubes dont let out water any more any one know how to fix that? and how do i clean the hydroton clay thingys because they are starting to get all white and starting to grow mold i think.

You have to take those things apart and clean them, I do in veg every other week, soap and water and once a week during flower. Put up some pics, mine build up calcium which is hard and white also I would like to see what white stuff is building up on yours. Ill check back but if you get the phtos up press like on this so i know to come back and look and see if I can help you out

Is the feed tube clogged? Yeah if no water is comming out that needs to be fixed. As far as the hydroton I just rince it out in a weak bleach/water solution and then again with fresh water. I think the white stuff is just salt deposits from nuits but I could be wrong.

if your roots are in water you dont need the top feed unit. cover the pots so light doesnt help grow shit on the rocks.

i cleaned the hydronton just by running alot of water though it to flush any nasty shit out it helped and i cleaned the drip feeder but i accedently fucked with one of females roots and tore the whole bottom shes still young so i hope she can recover and i also changed the water.

Damn SS I've been reading up on your set up..... very impressive!!!!! Thanks for the advice .... from everything I've read the pond/start-zyme products can really save some $$$. The hydro companies really stick it to us.

I'm a little late to this thread. Does anyone have a pic of this white growth? I just noticed some in my setup (first time going soilless). I am 7 weeks into flower, and do not want anything getting toxic. It looks like its only on the top. I can get a pic from my end on Sunday when I go back to that house.
