They'll probably die if you don't put them in some kind of Humidome.
Clones feed through their leaves until they develop a root structure.
So you have to keep humidity upwards of 100%.
Also when you cut a clone, you have to put in some type of medium with
somekind of hormone solution or gel.
Putting it into somekind of medium keeps air from seeping into the stem, once
that happends it will die.
Plus I would keep them in a humidome for a minimum of 2 weeks.

i use a clone gel and i mist them twice a day and there in moss packs topped with small stones
