Hydro And Lights that are not HIDs. Is there a piont?

I'm talking about fast active hydro, Such as Ebb and Flow, DWC and Ario ect.

I have seen a few people talking about starting hydro grows with CFLs, LEDs and T5s. But I'm wondering is there a piont?

Can these lights support the increase in growth that would be acheaved by using a hydro sytem?

I know from my experance of the world that you are only as stronge as your weakest link.

It's kinda like buying a Farrie in a country where the speed limit is 50. You have all that power but you can't use it.

no u just need enough lumens the equal your grow area

I think they would grow better than if in soil, but not as great as if you had better lights. Just my two cents.
