I've got some bad news to report today. My grow room has a very distinct bad smell like an aquarium, even with the Can fan & filter on; the plants look overwatered, and some roots are a slight stained brown color, some slimy. I've knowledgable enough to be able to diagnose it as root rot; I kept the water level high in the chambers for too long to, and the plants have an "overwatered" look; Thanks for pointing that out SOG, I wouldn't have been so quickly to diagnose. I've already added some 3%Hydrogen Peroxide and I lowered the growing chambers to where there is small 1/4" flow of water at the bottom of the grow chambers. I've got some 35% horticultural grade peroxide on it's way for delivery. I thought that keeping the water level high in the growing chambers that it would help the other clones that haven't rooted so well. It's like this shit happened overnight. :wall:

Well I need some help on my nutrient usage. I'm really broke and can't afford top of the line nutrients right now, and at this stage my AeroClones are almost a month old since cutling (10/12/2009), and require some nutrients. I plan on changing the resovoir on 11/12, and I need some recomendations of which solution(s) and strengths I should use. I have the following nutes I can use:

Flora Nova Grow One-Part Grow 7-4-10
Flora Nova One Part Bloom 4-8-7
FloraGro 2-1-6
FloraBloom 0-5-4
FloraMicro 5-0-1
KoolBloom Bulk & Ripening Formula 0-10-10
SuperThrive

Any recommendations?

P.S. I plan on switching the lights to 12/12 tonight, should I wait?

Hey; Got some updates, my girls look so much better when their lights came on, and the Peroxide application has made a world of difference, results in 8 hours. They still need to look better, but here they are.

It looks like only 28 out of 36 are making the journey to blossoms. Cheers :bigjoint:

Thanks bro; What do you guys think? Will they make it?

I've had the grow chamber water level all the way down since 11/07/09, and i've kep res temps between 20-22 Celsius (68 - 72 F), and it seems like they are really doing some comeback with new white roots, but they are taking so long to recover. The water level is actually about 1/2 a Centimeter of the bottom of the chamber with a somewhat fast flow of water. When I look at the roots while the 600W HPS light is on, they look whiter than looking at them under darkness, and amplified under a camera flash. Are they past the point of no return?

wooo hooo those are looking good

roots are blowing up i see no problems, they could be better i guess but theres nothing wrong with them i see.

table looks crazy with some huge and some small, you could move around the plants so all the big ones are together and the small ones(cant see the pic right now you might alredy have it like that) might get better light to each plant but i dont know

Remeber there weeds so no problems they will almost always grow if they have air, water, light they will not be the best buds but thats trial and error. Keep it up HWY looking great over there.

Thanks bro............Supposedly these lady bugs are migrating this time of year and have found their ways into my grow room. I saw lots of dead ones outside, and these are still alive in the termperate conditions of my grow room. Anyway, I hope the 18/6 light stimulates their life cycle and keeps them alive.

........
Those are not lady bugs. Get rid rid of them ASAP. They're impostors, Mexican boring beetles or something. Lady bugs have six spots and more rounded. I know those are not good. Bad!

Just thought I'd give an update, i'm sorry I've not posted in so long, i've been really busy. I tapped into another room's electricity with a Junction box & added a Quad receptacle. I'm already using around 3000Watts, and I plan to add a chiler, and 1 more 400W in there for my mother/clone chamber. I moved the Can Fan & Filter for my upcoming mother/clone chamber. I plan on just stapling some 6MIL poly to seperate the area behind the AeroFlo. Aparently I bought the HydroFarm Co2 regulator & Timer, and it specifically says, "Do not use with electric controllers, the constant on/off WILL freeze the components of the regulator and empty your tank or be uneffective at CO2 delivery". Does anyone think I could use it with an electric controller anyway? If not, i'm going to see if my closest hydro store will replace it with one that works with electric controllers, I've got my CO2 tank finally, and i find out this shit lol :wall:. I bought some DutchMaster Gold Part A & B and have the PPMs set to 750. Should it be higher at their age? My water chiller is ordered and on it's way so I can keep air temps higher. Their roots are all entangled in the growing chambers, I can't imagine how bad it will be 70 days into flower. I hope everyone has been doing well, enjoy some pictures updates.

Looking great in there HWY, plants are really taking off look healty as can be.

Might want to look into lollipoping, removing all the lower branches would help get some more air under the plants, plus all the bottom stuff dies off or does not produce good nugs.

If you do take the bottom branches off then you could fill up your mother room when you get it done;-)

Keep up the great work man, must be a busy life fulltime job away then fulltime job at home.

Edit: OOH YEA HWY GET A PH DIGITAL METER GRRRR

LoL, I do gotta get me a Digital PH Meter. Although I want to wait til I can afford the All-in-one meter (the temp/tds/ph/EC pen). It's like 200-300$, and i'll be spending at least 80$ on the stand alone PH Pen. My girlfriend has been having some financial problems, and I just bought a water chiller which hit me really hard financially, but i'll be able to maintain my res temp at 68 and my air temps at 80-90 degrees. I promise I will get a PH pen meter as soon as possible.

I started my plants before my room build in project was completely finished, but it suffices. I've got some really cool updates that i'm going to post within the next few days. I've ordered a lot of new equipment to keep this room 'perpetual', and dialed it correctly. I'm literally going to be able to harvest 4-5 times per year after this White Whidow is done.

I've really not been very dedicated lately, as the only thing that is needed is a res change every week... I could get use to this.... it's not too much work after everything gets set up correctly. It's really so much fun, I love this guys; i'm living my life long dream. They are 13 days into flower, and I can't wait to see some buds!!! I'll keep you guys updated!

Just giving you a hard time about the PH its all in good fun:-P, You are so right get a nice metter that does it all and they are pricey.

I am now saving up for a chiller and a dehumidifer then i might look into a AC for just the room always somthing new we can buy, its all about the dam money sometimes grrr.

Looking forward to the updates man the room just keeps getting better every time i look at it and you make a update  keep it up!!!

Hi everyone; I have been busting my arse lately getting a few things done for my G room. It's really been an exhausting past couple of months with my full time job, maintaining 45 girls and making new additions to the G room, but i'm finally "perpetual capable".

Colder months are definately easier on my power consumption for cooling, and I needed to add a water chiller which meant putting more strain on my portable AC Unit; it's not designed to handle exhausting 30 ft of ducting, so I added a boost, as seen in picture 1. It's a Pressure sensing activated switch turning on a 6" HO Can Fan, when my portable AC Unit begins to exhaust; and is working like a charm.

Since I solved my ventilation issue, I was able to add the 1/10th's water chiller (in the room), and i've effectively began keeping res temps below 70 degrees at all times. It seemed like it wasn't working at first, but the manual HIGHLY suggests to put a fan to ventilate it.

Also, due to resolving my ventilation issue, I was able to build my new mother/clone chamber with trippling layers of 6mil poly, Silicone sealant, stucco tape, and a staple gun. I also used a light tight zipper that didn't turn out so light tight, so I improvised with some velcro strips. No light leaks from either side of my new improvised tent for my mother chamber.

I was also able to build my own 40 Site DIY Cloner that will allow me to become perpetual when these are done flowering in about a month. I'm gonna guess my next batch of clones will be taken in about 2 weeks. My 'perpetual' nutrient line is shown a picture. If an experienced grower got 5.5 lbs off of a 57 site aeroflo under a 1000W hps, how much could I get off the 36 site under 600W?

My CO2 regulator specifically states, "Do not use Hydrofarm CO2 injector with electronic controllers; due to the constant on/off of electric controllers, the components of the regulator may freeze and become ineffective at CO2 delivery or empty your tank. Of course the reg froze, I guess need some recommendations for settings for the use in conjuction with those hydrofarm regs, bc I used the generator mode with a setpoint of 1450 and a deadband of 200 (max), and it injected for about 60 seconds and it quickly reached 1650, and cut off, climbed to 2000 as concentrations of CO2 gas continued to mix with room air, and it slowly declined to 1450 about 10 minutes later, and repeated til it froze.

Well sorry it's been so long since I updated you guys with some bud porn, but I hope you enjoy, they are exactly 27 days since the flower. Enjoy

Update was great man, really enjoyed it. Now the veg room is done shit this thread just keeps getting better. Does not look like you have much room to work in there so what your doing and how its turning out is just outstanding man!!

Crazy shit man didnt even see it before but we are right on the same day close to it both in week 4, take a look at my thread if you get a chance always could use one more over there espeicaly with the skills your putting into your room.

Was not sure but i thought u said you have a friend that does hvac or was that someone else had a question i wanted to ask someone that would really know and the homedepot guys just dont cut it these days.

Keep the updates coming i will always be here got a killer room and now its dialed in cant wait to see the veg full with clones.

Hey bro; wow, that's exciting that we're on the same day, now I have someone to compare with, it just doesn't seem like mine are halfway done. I just hope it doesn't take longer than 2 months total lol. Imma run over to your thread tonight, i'm at work right now lol; I just gave my flowering filing cabinet to a friend that has been wanting to grow , but he's not too knowledgable in HVAC; but he does build houses with his dad for a living, but maybe He or I can help, what's your question?

Thanks for the kind words; I read someone's journal that said two 400W in a dual 3x3 SOG application could produce just over a pound per month; I'm expecting to harvest at least 2 pounds off my AeroFlo unit with 36 sites in a 2 month period; not to mention my 4 FFOF soil plants and the mother that has been vegging since July this year, and she's massive!!! Maybe 2 elbows there. So probably a total of 4 or 5 pounds in a 2 month period

Your plants are looking good bro. All the hard work will pay off in the end!! Keep it up.
Thanks man, I am hoping the flowering stage will only take 2 months at the most. If my flowering stage is anything similar to how much longer my clones took than expected, I want to shoot myself.

I wish I could send you all a spliff. :joint:

Hey man! I forgot about this thread, glad to see your still kicking some ass... Remember me? We have almost the same set up, but I can't post pics, cuz I grow tomatoes... and flowers. lol, tell me how are you going to be perpetual? I was considering trying this in the aeroflo36, but can't figure it out... cuz the taller plants will block the light to the shorter plants, plus the system shares the same rez so how can you expect your lil new clones being able to handle the 1200-1500ppms that the 5-6 week old plants will be feeding off of? Give me some insight!

Hey bro; I do remember you; I hope you've been well. The plants aren't dead yet so, i'm doing something right. HaHa, When I refer to the term 'perpetual', I mean I have the capability of putting fresh rooted clone cutlings 3 weeks old into my Aeroflo as soon as I harvest my completed ones... This way, I can get up to 5-6 harvests per year, and no wait time between harvests to start budding again as soon as possible.

All the clones on my AeroFlo were taken the same night, so the plants are all the same age, and respectively, the same average height/density/root structures, are pretty much all the same b/c the environmental differences have also been identicle, and each plant has plenty of room. So i've not seen any nute burns on any of the smaller ones, and the light penetrates deep down to the bottom buds. I wouldn't subject a younger plant to the current ppm level of 1450, might even kill it. Here's a high resolution of one of my AeroFlo clones, you can see all the bud sites. I think i'm going to have these 10 inch tall christmas tree buds; check her out.

Click to view in 4000 x 3000 resolution at all the bud sites.
