Humidifier.

Hi people.

I have been planning my grow room for a while now, I am just waiting on delivery of my Lights (2 x 135W LEDs) and i still Havn't decided on the seeds yet but I'm off on holiday soon so i want to wait till i get back before i Plow on.

Because of the cost of the Lights I have opted to do alot ot the other stuff on a budget (wich i managed in no small part from these forums), home made self watering system, home made C02 dispencer (I havn't tested that yet though), home made tent.

One thing i was worried about was getting the right Humidity. I will probably just use the damp cloth idea, but earlier I had a thought. Do not be scared to burn me for this if is a truly stupid idea. You know those plug in air freashers? If one was to clean that out, Fill it with water and plug it in?

Now I realise that the whole high humidity and elictricity thing isn't always a great combination, but I am confedent i could set it up in such a way that it would be safe as houses. But would it work?

I know, its probably stupid. But I'v just been sitting staring at the one in the room I'm in and i cant shake the idea untill someone says 'No, just no'.
Dave.

what is the current humidity now? keep in mind plants will add moisture to a room, you add moisture to them

Temp & Humid sensor is on its way aswell so I'm not sure atm, but its a dry ass house in general. TBH it was reall just a 'Huh, I wonder if that would work?' kinda thing. Its been bugging the crap out of me for hours, even Google is getting board of me searching for "air puffer schematics" lol.

If you have Co2 and don't exchange with the outside you won't have a problem with too little humidity. the plants ad a ton. Since LEDs run so much cooler I have no idea what is required to cool or heat a room using them. If you do find it too low for small plants vegging or sprouts, a crock pot full of water works real nice but will add some heat.

Yea the heat thing might be an issue (I'm in Scotland lol). but I'v ordered a couple of Heating mats. Thier low cost to run and can be set on a timer.
I'll be having a Dry run for a few days to make sure i've got all the timimgs worked out, Then when I get back from the States (for comic con WOOP!) its all hands on deck.
