Daaaaaaaaamn, son!! I'm rocking a single plant under one 1000w and you're pushing frickin' Sherwood Forest under two beastly lights! That's sick that you've got that situation arranged with your friend to get free clones in exchange for vegging them for a minute. I've done similar things out here in Cannarado. Meeting a good group of growers has been such a blessing. I haven't paid for weed, clones, seeds, or nutrients in like 2 years. It's been awesome.

Anyway, yeah, I'm mostly just rambling because I'm still in shock from seeing 50 plants in one space. Kinda brings a tear to my eye, actually... Seein' those pretty maids all in a row... :weed:

Happy growing to you!! I'll post flower room pictures tonight!!

Yup... Just went downstairs and checked. Turns out growing weed is still awesome. :hump: And now, without further ado...

Day 25: Orange Crush, one plant, 1000w, 100% organic SCROG

I also did the now ubiquitous, almost obligatory "lighter comparison" on some buds...

We've still got 45 days to go... Did I mention growing weed is awesome?

Also, just because we all love bud porn, here's some Bruce Banner and Skywalker OG buds I grew two cycles back.

Dude that Banner is HOT FIRE. I had no idea! It was donated to me by a friend who had acquired, well let's just say a couple more plants than his legal limit.

I grew it under a T5 for about 6 weeks, topping it like crazy. It went into flower with 8 heads on it at about 3 feet tall. I popped every branch over at about a 45 degree angle and it never even stretched. It just stacked on colas. I was growing two huge Snowdawgs and a 4 foot wide Flav plant in the back of the tent, so the Banner got placed in the front, with the door open, getting the light that spilled out from around the Snowdawg super-bushes. Even in those less than ideal light conditions, it ended up yielding two ounces of some the most potent weed I've ever come across.

Sadly, like a fool, I didn't take clones. It just looked like a tiny plant to me. I was looking at the Crush, the Flav, the Snowdawg, the Heavy Duty Fruity, some of these fat-yielding delicious strains that had thick stalks, huge broad leaves... The Banner was just spindly by comparison... I put it in the garden like, "Alright, sweetie. Let's see what you do..." :wall:

My sincerest hope is that I can exchange clones with this friend in the coming weeks, and acquire back this phenomenal strain...

You just never know what you have until you flower it out, cure it up, and puff it down. Between my brother and I (also a medical patient), we ripped through those two ounces in a month. I'm down to a single 5 gram nugget of it. Shit is OUT.RAGE.OUS. :bigjoint:

Here in CO I have to fight to keep my humidity above 20%. Right now, it's at 17%! Mildew is never an issue out here, fortunately!!
you don't know how lucky you are. I used to live in a more dry climate and loved growing there. It was soo much easier. Now I am in a temperate zone and it rains nonstop it seems like. Dang mildew is the scourge.

My Oregonian friends tell me that all the time. I'm like... "Sulfur? What the hell is that? You burn something in your garden? What!? It's indoors, how is it wet!?" Baffles me...

Out here it seems everyone has battled the dreaded spider mite at some point. You guys deal with those bastards? Evil...

i hate those mite fucks also we battle them too, i never fought with mildew, just added more airflow, i have some PM on a bush right outside my grow literally on the other side of the wall, and not in my room, cause i keep air movin thats the KEY, turbulence like a semi-breezy day, never had a problem again, i need to spray again its been nearly 2 weeks since i killed the mite fucks so i gotta spray again, (preventive maintenance)

20%rh, thats really low, ive hade it around there but i wet the floor and bring the RH% up they like it humid to veg... typically i hover between 40-60% wich im happy with for sure

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Humbleservantoftheplant again.

Thanks a lot, fatblunt! I appreciate that!! I've got things pretty dialed in here. Don't make many mistakes anymore, which is very nice. :)

There's always room for improvement though!! I've still yet to hit the 1lb mark on a grow and the closest I've come was still a QP off... There are growers on here who put me to shame. And really it's the plant that knows exactly what she's doing. I'm just lucky to be along for the ride. :bigjoint:

I also totally agree with you that those fiskars are B.A. When you've been trimming for 20 hours straight, it's nice to have a little spring in the handle doing half the work for you...

As Bubbles once said, "I fuckin' hate harvestin. I love growin' the things. Talkin' to em, waterin' in, watchin' em grow. I fuckin' hate harvestin' 'em, though..."

Happy growing to you!

Day 26: Haircut Day!!

My growing mentor came over today for a sweet afternoon bong session. We ended up getting pretty blazed and watching "Eastbound & Down" for a couple hours. He eventually stayed long enough for the lights to come on downstairs, and when they did he gave me some advice. I knew that at some point I was going to need to do some SCROG maintenance underneath the screen just to clean it up and increase airflow, maximize the energy to the canopy, etc. But, I didn't realize how many buds were being shaded by the fan leaves growing up above.

His advice: give 'er a little haircut. So I did. Definitely opened things up a bit. Here's some bud shots from day 26 of the Orange Crush SCROG!!
