Huge plant needs fed every watering?

I have this plant, it's pretty big and bushy for indoor and it's only in a 5 gal pot, seems like every time I turn around its lightening up and getting more lime green. I have more of the same strain going and they are a healthy forest green (not waxy).

The pic sucks but I'm just looking for opinions on what my observations are. I feed every other watering and this plant just doesn't seem to be satisfied...

I just fed it twice cause there are no signs of burn or anything just a light green color and weird starting bud growth. Some buds are stretched out kind of.

Plant in question is under a 1000w cooled hps and fed with fox farm trio at full strength with molasses every other and is in ffof soil with lime and perlite mixed in.

Back left but there's one plant behind itimage.jpg
It's hard to tell from the photo, I wasn't gonna go in very far it's on the dark cycle right now.

Any thoughts?

Not a great pic for diagnosis, but I'm thinking maybe excess N?
Excess? Like too much? Wouldn't that cause shiny dark green and waxy leaves?

I've been feeding my girls the same amounts all in 5 gal pots and this girl is by far the biggest and she's a few weeks older than the rest.

I actually fed her less in the beginning cause I let her run in veg longer on straight ffof and then threw in the next gen batch only a few weeks behind and just started feeding everything on schedule.

I know the pic sucks I will grab a few more tonight but light doesn't turn on till 9.

Like i said.. hard to tell from that picture. Tops of the leaves looked really dark green to me which often indicates excess N. If they arent really that dark in person then we can probably blame the photo.

IMO thats (N) Tox ...avoid

edu..mate the grower

good luck
Why do you think that?

Heres the photos, they aren't the best but show the difference. The leaf and plant on the left is the plant I'm talking about. Why is it lime green? The others are darker and seem healthier maybe.

Can't see no lime green in either pic

but if you suspect ....apply a little calmag next feed

good luck

well shit then my photos still suck! I tried to get a good comparison but with hps it throws off the color. The one plant is like 3-4 times bigger than any other I have of the same strain/clones. It's a few shades lighter green and I would call it lime with correct lighting.

I feed with full strength fox farm trio normally and 1tbs molasses per gallon every other feed, how much cal mag should be in that? Not enough?

I am using fox farm product but plan to switch to AN, I have some AN cal mag product, should be ok to mix in with my nutes right?

This is the only plant in the room that's lighter than the rest. It's the whole plant too not just the tops. I am letting it react to its last feeding before I do anything else, hoping I didn't go overboard feeding twice but I feel it should be ok.

Has anyone ever had a strain that seems like it just wants more and more food? There's no curling or burning, maybe the slightest yellow tips but nothing bad and I feel that they were there before the plant turned bright green.

Leaf curl under seems to me its N overdose. Can see the ends of leafs taking nose dive south on the top part of your pic.

Are you referring to the same plant as me? The left leaf? Left plant? If not then u know when u just water a plant and the tips droop slightly? Well that's what is happening there. I only go in my room once or twice a day so it was water-photos in that order. The other plant had been watered the night before, it's the one I'm worried about, she's got a ton of growth and the whole thing is going a fee shades lighter than the rest of my entire room.

Hey fellow 907er save your self some money and avoid the old AN pit stop :)

From now on most of my products will not be found in most hydro stores

Dont fall for bottled water. From a former AN user
What is the problem with it, I've never tried it. I got like 400 in nutes for free cause my friend moved out of country. The 3 people I know that use it grow very nice plants, great quality as well. I will be using it with lucky dog soil. Also what are your products? Or what do you mean by that? Are you in ak?

Again I'm referring to the lighter colored of the two plants. May not be able to see in the photos but the one is considerably LIGHTER than the others. Am I being paranoid?

Yea some other plants may have a little clawing but I can deal with that. I was just using for reference of color shade and obviously that failed due to lighting.

I'll check on her closely and add some calmag if it gets worse. The other plants I think are fine.

For a description, the leaves seem to be loosing their "luster" and have a very slight blotchy pattern if you look closely, this is over the entire plant and makes the color of the plant look way off compared to its relatives. It's still growing rapidly, and hasn't stunted, the ridges of the leaves seem to be more defined and feel almost rough but not dry.

Once again I will attempt a few photos tonight before lights on if I can. I'll use a flashlight and my phone, the flash on it is lame.

Also I won't be feeding her for awhile besides maybe calmag next watering to see how she reacts, I don't suppose the leaves will change back? Just new growth will look better? To me it seems everything has a healthier feel when it's a little darker green and not so pale looking.

Was just saying whats up from alaska.

You can use what you like as i was happy with AN for a few years.

But im done paying for fancy bottles.

You can get the same stuff from greenleaf nutrients for way cheaper.

And you can buy agricultural products like what is growing most the food in the world. For even cheaper.... now im not cheap. Just trying to be smarter with my money

Just trying to save you cash but if you wana buy it its your money:)

Just my 2

image.jpeg image.jpeg Here's a couple more pics, the plant again is on the left. It's lightening up compared to the rest of the room.

Hps lighting makes stand out more for your eyes and less for the camera and since I used an led for the second photo the color is more accurate to both eyes and camera but also feels healthier too.

This whole plant just dropped a few shades off the green spectrum that's all. No other signs of health problems. Do you guys still think it's n. tox? I thought they should be darker and shiny with n. tox.... not lighter and flat.

Feed her more, she might be pulling lots of water looking for food.

I usually try for 4 different strains each cycle. Some are heavy feeders some not. If pH is ok and it's looks hungry feed. ymmv

I just got back from a friends, I showed him what was up and he suggested calmag. I had already fed her twice in a row as an initial reaction to the color change because I didn't see any signs of burning I figured one extra feeding wouldn't hurt.

She's growing good and new growth may be a little darker even but I'm gonna add some calmag to my next watering to see if that helps her a little too.

She definitely drinks more than anyone else so I assume she should eat a little more too but just wanted to be on the safe side

Calmag is mostly nitrogen so it may help in that respect. I like adding a minimum of 200ppm to a bucket of water. Then add the other nutes.
