HTGSupply Closed Down?

I noticed that htg's site has been down and all there ebay items pulled for a long time now.. Anyone know what the "real" deal is? Alotta rumors floating around.. It says on there site that there "moving", but they have been down a long time.

I found out from getting a email from order i made last Friday but then i canceled my order immediately... im not gonna wait that freaking long. They closed their online store last Friday for service, but their local stores are open.

Consider this a blessing in disguise. All the gear I bought from HTG has failed... so.. Go buy some real gear from real places, not some knock off place overcharging for horrible gear.

Seriously, shop around. HTG sucks, even when they are in business shipping orders, their turn around time is 3 days. The places above ship same day or next day if ordered after 3 or 4.

I partly agree. Yes alot of their items are knockoffs, but you get what you pay for. Shipping is ok, sometimes fast, other times a day or two. On the other hand customer service rocks! They do stand behind what they sell. Got a 600 watt hps system from them that came with one of their house bulbs. Burned out in 2 days. Called and they shipped a new bulb, a sunmaster, the same day with a return shipping label for the burned out bulb. I was impressed. No long forms, 1000 questions, nothing but 'sorry about that, we will ship you a new bulb today' that easy.
Back to the knockoffs. The Easy Cool hoods they put their brand on are junk! Unless you only need to cover 4 sq. ft.! Even with the adjustable socket, still sucks. All in all, once again you get what you pay for.

my htg shit works perfectly and many other peoples stuff has as well. ya it is cheap but a third of the price. they shipped cross country to me in a week.

i dunno, that is just my experience with them.

damn i wondered what the deal was i ordered an aircooled 250 and a fan 2 weeks ago and it's still not here . There online site was up when i ordered. wtf i hope it doesnt take much longer. It didn't take long for the money to be gone from my bank account lol

I wonder if this is a possible security breach or something along those lines. Come on now WE NO LONGER ACCEPT ONLINE ORDERS however we gladly accept orders over the telephone!

Come on now it doesn't take a fucking dumbass to realize this.

HTG’s site still comes up when you go to it but it is not fully operational. It may just be in the process of changes/pricing/items offered being changed and it may have slammed its doors. It may just be to soon to know. I have seen the same thing happen in the past and people instantly said it had closed down but a day or three later it was fully operational again.
 
Maybe we just need to wait a few days or so to find out for sure.
 
Ok, I just called HTG at 1-866-710-GROW and they answered and I asked what was up and they said they are making changes and revamping things and changing some suppliers and they are in business and their site will be fully operational again very soon.

I'd think they'd have plenty of time/incentive to ship any back orders with the online biz at an apparent stand still. Pittsburgh's a long ways from many places and I think they basically only ship by ground (truck) unless you pay more?

I talked to them about 5 mins ago. They said they were changing some things and are gonna start shipping stuff out tomorow. I hope so.. I ordered my stuff the 12th and paid the 12th and it's looking like from what the guy told me It wont even be shipped out untill tomorow. It's becomming a little annoying i wish ida just ordered from another site and already had it but shit happens so im not hatin on htg just yet..

People say a lot of things and often times are incorrect.


Possibly whoever said they paid for something and did not receive it yet did experience exactly what they claimed but possibly not for the reason they believe it to be. When I called part of what I was told that the warehouse is being revamped so that could easily cause shipping delays.
 
Also I would be curious when the person who claimed to have paid and not received anything placed their order, that is if they ordered online, because since the website has not been fully operational you cannot place orders so you cannot be charged anything.
 
I always wonder why it is that people on sites like this always jump to the worst conclusion about things, readily believe the worst things that people say and have such a deep seated need to tell others with more positive news that it is likely they are wrong because someone else said something different first?
 
Over the years I have seen numerous examples of people complaining like mad about places they purchased something from not being delivered only later to then see a message saying it arrived.

Look at the number of seedbanks that have been ripped to shreds by people whose order did not come as fast as they wished and they jumped online and told everyone they had been ripped off and then a few days or a week later the same person said their order arrived.
 
I can clearly remember one person saying Attitude Seeds ripped them off because their order had not arrived in three days.

How reasonable is that, to expect an order to arrive in three days? If you lived next to Attitude’s location you could not rightly expect an order to arrive in only three days but the person complained up a storm and called them ripoff artists and crooks.
 
My suggestion is for anyone who is a regular HTG customer to relax and give it a few days and see if like in the past when their site was partially non-operational due to changes being made it once again is fully operational.
 
My suggestion to the person who said they paid and did not receive their order would be to call the phone number I included in my last message and speak to someone in person and see what the delay is.
