Which would you get? The ebay one is $200 for 400w where the htg for the 240w model, its $270

Has anyone tested an ebay one with a lux meter to compare?

I am guessing the actual power draw on the "ebay one" is around 200w for a 400w panel, and the HTG probably closer to the wattage it states..

correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think a LUX meter is appropriate for LED lighting as lux is based on human perception of brightness and LEDs are often lower in lux, but with a higher PAR rating (PAR being the correct light wavelengths needed by the plant, not necessarily the brightest)

For "budget" sort of range but with good results and plenty of demonstrated full grows online, why not look at the vipar panels? they are on ebay too, for around a similar price, the 300w vipar has a 200w actual draw.
