Hps/mh 1000w working fine, turned off after 3 hours. Ballast still running

Everything was working normally. I turned on my lights and left the room. The lights were running for about 3 hours before I came back in and notice no more light but the ballast is still running. No other appliances shut off. No burning smell. Ballast running but no light. Changed light bulb and still never work.
Spec: 1000w switchable ballast hps/mh 120/240. Any clues on why the bulb went out while running

Could be that your ballast has burnt out somewhere. Maybe not completely. But, if the bulbs appear intact. Then it's got to be the power brick running it.
