i just bought a 150w hps from ballastkit.com but it seem like it missing somthing :confused: theres no plug. i have no idea how a hps works. i got the bulb, socket, ignitor, and capacitor. what am i missing?

you're going to electrocute yourself.

google "HPS ballast assembly" but always be careful when messing with electricity.

i think they missed something but im not sure what. the site says the kit come with ballast, ignitor, and capacitor. but i only see two things a black cylinder thing with white, blue, and red wire and a heavy metal cube with 3 white wires. am i missing a ballast? what does a ballast looks like? sorry but i have no idea about this stuf

ok i just found out how to wire it but im missing the plug. what are those plug with the white, black and ground wire call? can i get it at home depot or lowes?

I'd call it a grounded plug but I'm no electrician. Yes you can get them at any hardware store. It'll cast you about 10 bucks for an 8 feet one.

yes you can get the plug at home depot etc. i believe the square thing is the ballast housing and it should have the ignitor in there as well and the cylinder is the capacitor.

make sure you get a heavy gage cord for wiring it up. if you can feel heat through the cord you need a heavier gage.

ok thanks, i just went to lowes and bought a replacement cord hook all the wire up except for the ground wire from the cord. plugged it in and it work, but i read that the ground wire should be touching metal:confused: can i just use a wire nut on it?
