HPS + CFL? what do you think?!

I read around here people say they add cfl bulbs to there hps bulbs. does this help in anyway?

i have a 3m x 4m room with 6x 2.5 gallon pots under a 400hps bulb. that is supposed to be enough to grow a decent bud, but will they grow bigger if i add a few cfl bulbs?

the CFL's are usually used for side lighting more than anything when you have a HID like a 400watt HPS...I'd build up an area in that room thats about 1m x 2m and put panda film or mylar on the walls to reflect the light from the 400, but you really don't "need" the CFL's at that point...unless you want to throw in some 6500k bulbs...you'd be better off using T5's or T8 fluoro tubes instead in the corners or go length wise on the wall with em.

ya I forgot to say I do have mylar paper on the walls. I just want to know if like you said- as side lighting, will it 'help' if I add cfl bulbs or is it bullshit? cant get T5 fluoros where I come from...
