HPS and MH lights for growing?

Hey evrybody so im still trying to decide what lights im gonna use. I was thinking of using a 1000watt MH light for vegging and 1000 watt hps light for flowering. Would this be enough for 2 plants?
How much bud could they produe?
Could they produce about 2/3 ouces a plant?
And if anyone could help me out with setting up ventilation that would be sweet too.

1000 watts is great for a 6 foot square area, 2 plants? why not 30 in an ebb n flo or even a dwc bucket system you can grow a ton of weed under 1000 watt lights..even if you grow in soil you can easily pack 1o 5 gal buckets under the light..

1000 watts is a lot for two plants brother. I mean if you can do it that's great, but your running a LOT of electric between your lights and fans, you'll have a lot of heat in your room (assuming your room is small because a huge room would do your light no justice, as there would be a lot of space wasted), it's just not a good idea in my mind.

I'd run at LEAST 8 plants (and I do mean least), or downgrade your system to a 600w, or even 400w depending on the size of your room.

If you don't even have your room setup I wouldn't even worry about how much you can produce. Maybe throw up a few pictures or at least a better description of your grow space , soil, strains, your individual goal as a grower. This would better help me, help you figure out lighting and ventilation for your needs!

you should be able to get at least 5 oz per plant if you are using that setup. veg them and keep up-potting until they are pretty large plants. you'd probably want to veg until about 3 foot bushes. and then xplant into a big 15gallon container and flower.

1000w is a bit overkill tho. you should be fine with like 400w. you could veg with HPS or MH both work. i personally use LED and T8 for vegging tho. just keep these lights as close as possible while still having coverage.

t5s are pretty nice for veg..

you will get explosive growth vegging under a 1000...go for it

You can add a dozen or more plants to the mix though, you have the light power for it.

Until I had recently purchased my new CLW SolarStorm 880, I would veg with my 400w MH, and then switch to my 1000w MH after the first two weeks of 12/12 hr light regimen, to finish the flower cycle. Always to my great success, while well speaking both, in dry clean volume and high quality bud standards. We have become connaseurs after thirty years in the hobby.

I would now like to try doing both veg and flower with this new LED system. Utilizing it's two built in UVB bulbs should be an interesting addition, at the 'final phase' stage, so very looking forward to my fun first findings...

hey can u let me know if the led lives up to your 1000 hid?? ive been thinking of trying led but keep hearing that in a few years the ones now will be outdated and im doing just fine with my hid lights.. please let me know???
