Hey smokers! My plants about 8 or 9 days old. He or she is under a 2700k 4200 lumen bulb. (Getting some 6500k soon) and I was wondering how she looks? I think she has minor root burn so I'm planning on getting a ph tester and flushing her with some phed distilled water. Im using black magic professional soil and I havent gave her any nutes yet. Thanks!

Doesn't look to bad, your PH is likely off and that's why your seeing the damage. It's that or you fed them? Black magic soil sucks. Transplant it out of that water bottle into a real pot with a different soil.

Indeed get a better soil if you can afford it. I been using 707 organic soil by Aurora for years, never fails. Trow some cal-mag once a week 3mil per gal. And yes flush it and repot but since IF you getting new soil dont ad nutes after a week..

any recommendations on how I should repot without dirt staying on the roots or should I just do as always?

Not feeding them yet, that's good. Yeah then its just the black magic soil, it runs hot and is a very bad choice for seedlings.

Wet the soil in your water bottle pot, then turn it over and let the whole thing slide out, or just cut down the side of it. Then put your plant with the soil into a large bucket of room temp water, and move it around in the water. The soil should fall away from the roots very easy. Just take it slow and be gentle.

That's what I also had in mind. Any recommendations on good soil for a whole grow? Thanks.
It just depends on what you have available in your area. I know a lot of people talk shit about it, but miracle grow isn't THAT bad if you know how to use it. Just avoid the time release stuff or moisture control. If you can find just the normal stuff is what you want. If you do go with that, just don't feed your plant for the 1st 6 weeks or they might burn.

I grow outdoors and use my own mix plus compost, but start them out in MG and they do just fine.
