Hows my plant doing? - First grow 3 weeks into flowering

I just wondered how my plant is doing.
Im 3 weeks into flowering using soil
a 400 watt sodium lamp
no nutes or anything just straight water
Its my first grow and id like some feedback from you experienced growers.
Its intentionally a small plant, kinda stuck for space on the growing area front.
Any feedback would be great
Oh and I don't know the strain of the plant, came from a random bud from a dealer.

how did it grow w/ no food?

I guess the same way any other plant grows, I'm guessing there was some nutes in the soil but I havn't fed it anything out of a bottle, iv just been watering her every few days

doing well m8 for a 1st time effort, would advise grabbing some nutes tho ya in soil, try some bio-bizz av used that for a few yrs meself is organic too.

Thanks man, was thinking of investing in some nutes, give it a quick blast before I flush it before harvest. Off hand how long would you say I have left before harvest, I was thinking another 5 maybe 6 weeks?

looks kanny for no food spen, like newuser said get some nutes at least for the last few weeks pk13/14 or advanced overdrive are both cheap and good. if your strapped for cash write yourself some letters to a few companies asking for some samples, they usually cough up some good freebies.

looks to be leaning towards more sativa than indica could be 10-15weeks flower!!

Yeah I was thinking the same, but I have no idea what strain it is, I defiantly don't want to harvest too early, thanks for all your feedback guys, first plant is like being a new parent, you worry too much about everything aha, put my mind at ease now
what advice would you give if it does happen to be more sativa, what tell tale signs would I be looking for to know when it's ready to harvest?

i'd say it's a hybrid the leaves are quite fat for sativa lean. probably be a 9 weeker or there abouts

get yourself a pocket microscope the only real way to tell is looking at the trichromes

ya wana give the nutes way before harvest m8, now is the primetime really bottle of bio-bizz grow 6quid bottle of pk13/14 5er 11quid and ur get quite abit more bud than without em.

I wish there was a definitive way of finding out what the strain is, hopefully it is a 9 weeker, I'd only have 6weeks left, I'm dying to dry and cure it so I can light it up and taste the little beauty. While it was in veg it didn't shoot up very quickly, so I initially thought indica, now I'm just really confused haha. What would I be looking for with the trichromes? I was hoping there would be more of an inexpensive way to know when she's finished and ready to harvest

How often and to what ratio of water would you give nutes mate? I know I'm asking a lot of questions in one thread, I should really just google it or search through the posts, but it's a lot better coming from you experienced guys on here

knowing when to water will come with experience, it's easiest to make up the nutes according to the label but id recommend starting at half and building up gradually. it's best to water from the bottom fill your saucer and keep filling till it stops soaking up then empty out the remainder in the saucer and chuck it. the simplest method of knowing when to water is to stick your thumb in the top of the soil if the top half inch to an inch is dry, water if not wait till it is. simples.

Thanks for the link dude, really helped I'm fine with when to water my plant, dryness of the soil etc. The thing I was more interested in was how you go about using the nutes, just been to the local garden centre and bought a bottle of bio bloom NPk 2.0 6.0 3.5. So normally I water my plant with a pint glass of water every 3 days, today just so happens to be watering day, how much nutes would you add to the water? 3 quarters of a pint of water and a quarter of nutes?
