How you pay Amazon, even if you never buy a thing from them

To be honest, I would rather he continue to donate to groups like "TheDream.US" which helps DACA kids pay for college. Seeing as how his dad was a Cuban immigrant, it's also quite a success story how this guy became the richest person in the world. Also, that Amazon paid no taxes in 2017 has little to do with his fortune, since he owns only 16% of Amazon and almost half of his fortune was earned in only the last two years. I have certainly seen immediate family make profit from being able to sell on Amazon so your mindless and insipid spamming of links is just kind of pointless to me. Also, unlike other billionaires, he hasn't bought entire Hawaiian islands to then turn around and evict Hawaiian people, so there's that.

Also, federal taxes do not fund gov't spending. Maybe you should get a job and pay some taxes before you bitch about it.

Amazon is one of the world's largest corporations, yet it pays almost no tax. You, the taxpayer, pick up the tab instead.

Yet somehow this travesty goes completely unreported by the major news media.

and this is all before Trumps tax breaks. Why did Obama allow this to continue through his whole presidency? Was he heavily invested in the company? I've been and loving it!
Does anyone NOT wish they could afford accountants to guarantee a tax free existence ?

You just love directing stupid fucking comments at people believing you know fuck all about anything, don't you? Yes, I know that DACA has expired, dumb ass. It only means that those kids no longer have federal protections. However, many places, such as Los Angeles and San Fransisco are sanctuaries where local authorities do not cooperate with the Gestapo we call ICE to deport these kids who've known no other home. UC colleges are also extremely accommodating for these kids. That they have a benefactor like Jeff Bezos is a fucking godsend for them.

Try not to be a complete fucking bigot while you put on your MAGA hat and yell for them to be deported and BUILD THE WALL! It's not your family that will be affected, it's mine.

You don’t have to be a big corporation or have millions to pay less taxes.

In the 90’s we made good money in the car business. When I got promoted to finance manager my salary went to 6 figures but even in the 60k range as a salesman we used an accountant to write off all our expenses. And then a lot more assumed expenses. Dry cleaning. Restaurant and all gas receipts for our demo cars. And misc. expenses for everything that could’ve be perceived as a customer expense.

At 60k I paid taxes on more like 20k. Many always do this.

The only thing I hate about Amazon is that they use USPS for the only delivery method. Our mailman is an asshole. You can see him and be running up to the truck and he peals off leaving a pick-up slip in the mailbox.

Exactly!
usps wont leave a package(too big for box) vs UPs throws it over or ties it to my gate and never an issue.
usps forgets to close my rural dirt road mail box often resulting wet muddy mail vs a sealed plastic wrapped box tied to gate.
usps knows they are seeds vs ups could give two shits

We are friendly with our mailwoman. Mrs. MMG has known her all her life. We get exemplary service. She is a subcontractor using her personal car out here.

The ups guy is hit or miss but the fedex guy always makes sure left packages remain dry.

I guess my point is that what Amazon is doing is nothing different than any institution who has a piece of monopoly or monopsony power has done for decades. You can complain all you want but your contention that the major news media hasn't covered it is disingenuous at best. Has it really gotten to the point where you are going to complain about any perceived shortage of coverage of the thing you just read, watched, etc? If so you have contributed to the success of the tactics that Trump uses.

Sky is either ignorant or trolling.

Trump's deadline and GOP congress's commitment to formalize DACA into law has expired, this is true.

Howeeevahhhh,

Supreme court ruled DACA should continue while challenges to court rulings that block DACA expiration go up the judicial ladder.

Gee, I wonder why. It's almost like the mainstream media isn't an unbiased independent entity, but instead a monopolized propaganda arm trying to push an agenda for leftists and corporatists or something.

Nah....
