How/where to find whether the strains are ok to go outside?

Hi Everyone. I'm currently about to choose a plant to grow outdoors this summer . How can I determine whether or not they are suitable for the environment here? I am in southern Ontario Canada . The strains I have ready to go are: Skywalker kush , Critical ,chocolope, blue dream, purple kush, second sight, swazi gold and a strain that was donated called grizzly. The last 4 are unfamiliar to me as this is the first run with these. Is there a website that breaks down the ideal strains for a given location ?

If u can go to the breeder directly, they can help. Kush tends to be a hard one for me to get to finish prior to frost.

U need ones with the shortest flowering time. I believe Grizzly is an Ontario strain. Are you just now starting the seeds?

Just Google the strain and where it came from. Lots of sources. Some better than others. Leafly has some good stuff, but I find it inconsistent. Find the flowering time, and go by that, but u need mould resistance too due to the damp falls in southern ontario..

Thanks for the reply. I've started all of these a month or more ago. I'm going to take cuttings and then pick a few to try outdoors. It's the first outdoor grow for me so I want to start out properly. I was also thinking that the sativas and kushs would probably be better indoors. I will try a couple of grizzly and a couple of criticals . Will see what happens. Cheers.

According to Leafly: "Designed to withstand the harsh conditions of its mountainous homeland, Swazi Gold grows with ease and resilience, although growers will have to wait anywhere from 55 to 85 days for plants to finish flowering."

I don't know how the southern Ontario climate compares to South Africa but it sounds like Swazi might not be the best option.

I think your right. Originally planned to do a couple of the grizzly and a couple of criticals but the swazi will be a better fit and probably safer. Thanks for the reply

Kootenay Seeds made a handful of strains that featured some type of "Grizzly" in the name. They used to be sold at Hemp Depot. Not sure if your Grizzly is from them, but it might give you something to check out.

They were touted as "outdoor plants" . Good luck.

Been growing for 12 years and I’ve always baught my clones from a buddy of R2 , and a skunk freezeland cross.. realgorillaseeds site has sum stuff crossed with freezeland that will finish middle of September ish and not mold on you, there the type of plants u could prepare a good bed for them and lay out a patch of 15 and only water em every 2 weeks and top dress with gaia green or sumthing all purpose maybe twice or 3 times from transplant, go back 3 months later and harvest 2-3-4 ounces a plant of quality stuff! If u look after them and put them in 15gal ++ pots or the ground and pay attention to em you can expect like 200-350 grams .. they got a lemonade OG x freeze, MOB x Freeze, a Durban poison freezeland cross.. lots of diff ones to try , I’d like to know if anyone’s ever tried the gorilla seeds before and how they turned out? There fem and regulars n if there anything like the freezeland skunk I been growing for the last 7-8 years they will be exactly like its say in the description, a very hardy medium sized plant wit a ton of semi-dense average sized nugz they have a nice purple hue to em outside here in Canada too if u get the right strains and actually grow for quality n not quantity they produce indoor in soil grade pot!

No one ever knows the difference between my indoor and out.. it has to do with the drying techniques as well thoug to get outdoor to have that wicked bag appeal an stickiness
