I have 10 plants growing in 2 gallon pots that I placed in the woods that are growing great. I also planted seeds right in the ground about a week ago but not one sprouted! Is the Florida soil to sandy for weed? I have about a hundred seeds left to plant and ran out of pots and dirt. can anybody give me any tips on how to successfully grow them right out of the ground?

You Should Try Sprouting Your Seeds In A Paper Towel First...This Is What I Do..Take A Wet Paper Towel, Place Some Seeds On The Paper Towel & Fold It In Half, Then Stick It In A Ziplock Bag & Place In A Dark Warm Place...I Use I Dresser Drawer & Inbetween Cloths For Warmth....After A Couple Days 70-80% Seeds Have Sprouted...Once The Seeds Have Sprouted Poke A Little Hole In The Ground Not Deep Or Wide Just Big Enough To Place The Tip Of The Root Down In The Ground...If The Dirt Is Real Sandy I Would Suggest Looking For Some Differant Dirt...Try Going Near A Creek Or Something & Getting Some Of That Dirt, Unless You Wanna Spend Some Money On Some Soil, Dont Use Miracle Grow Soil Cause It Will Burn Your Babies...Other Then That You Should Be Good To Go...Oh Yeah Your Seeds Prolly Didnt Spout Straight out Of The Ground Due To Soil Temperture, Or It Could Have Been The Sandy Dirt...Its Hard To Say But I Know Normally Around This Time Plants Wont Start Striaght Out The Ground Because Of The Soil Temp...But Once You Sprout THem First They Should Be Good To Go..Good Luck
