How to utilize hash on plants...

i've been told that the shiny white spots on leaves near buds are loose hash. i'm wondering how i can gather all of them and turn them into a smokeable product. :) anyone have ways they've done it before? thanks.

there are a few ways to make it, But what i do,
1) Freeze it for an hour
2)blend it in the blender with water and icelon
3)strain the leaf matter our under a bowl
4) place the bowl in the freezer for 30 min
5) spoon out most of the water slowly
6) blow dry the rest of the water out and the black/brown stuff left is hash

The longer I take the more i tend to get.

thanks for the tips typhoon. so i freeze all the leaves containg hash for 1 hour, then throw them in a blender with ice and water... about how much water? then strain it, place bowl with water and hash in freezer, remove and spoon out water, then blowdry remaing.... sounds good, like a cup of water i should use?

Buy a tshirt screen (I think its 120 microns) then do this.

1) Blend your leaves in blender with Ice and Water for 15 min (do it the full fifteen I promise) Use just enough water so it blends well with the ice. If all the ice melts, add more, you need it as cold as possible for the chemical reaction.

2) After 15, Strain the blended up green goo through the tshirt screen into a pot

3) Then strain the resulting green/brown liquid through coffee filters (you might have to use a few)

4) Let the filtrate dry overnight (this is your hash) and scape off when dry and collect.

If you did it clean enough, your hash will bubble when smoked.

Sorry man, not all of us have the money for a bubbleator...

If it gets you high, and changes color with pressure and heat, its hash... even if it is gumby hash.

you can make kief with pantyhose and an empty pringles can. :dunce:

grinding your bud up and pressing it wet is NOT hash making. no matter how poor you are.

"gumby hash" is NOT hash. it's ground up, pressed, wet weed. :cuss:
im aware its a very low quality hash, but how do you figure its just pressed wet weed? the weed gets strained out and the trichs settle to the bottom....and then the water gets dried out.

or am i confused?

the trichs get PULVERIZED in the blender. they burst and crush and stick to all the ground trim. the trim sinks to the bottom while stuck to the trichs and the trichs float to the top while stuck to the trim. :-|

when making hash the LAST thing you want happening is for the leaf to start breaking apart.

The trichs don't disappear, that would go against the laws of nature, they are still there even if damaged. As long as you rinse everything really good through the screen, it still settles and you get hash. Its bad hash, we know, but its hash.

TBH all these methods may work but you had better have a lot of trim (buds/leaf matter) to get a decent amount of smoke, i personaly wouldnt put my trim in a blender, for a number of reasons the most being you will have more THC in the blender than what you will get out of the end product. Safest bet is to get a small set of bubble bags and then your set to go, best thing with the bubble bags is it is easy to do and you have 5 diffrent screens so that means 5 diffrent kinds of hash. not sure if you know this but you will need roughly 3oz of nice trip to get, if luck, 2-4grams of hash.

OR the cheap way is to get a 10gl bucket put trim in violently whisk and stir for 1 - 2 h , siv out all leaf matter, pour browny / yellowy gream water into 2 or 3 large jars and leave over night to settle........ black stuff at bottom will be hash........

Persoanly get the bubble bags. :joint:

where did i say they disappear?

i said they get PULVERIZED and stick the the leaf matter. then you have trichs floating that gets skimmed off and thrown out and leaf sticking that sinks and gets in the hash.

gumby hash is THE WORST way to make hash, though it is hash. i guess.

these other guys are talking about blenders. out of the several videos and tutorials ove seen on gumby hash i dont remember any using a blender. i use a drywall mud whip for big batches and for small ones i just shake the herb in a big mason jar with the ice.

and i usually make BHO with it anyways.:hump:

all the gumby hash vids i've seen use blenders. and then everyone praises the method. it kills me. this is "sludge hash" if anything. nothing like going rock bottom. lol
