Yes i know REAL purp is in the genes, but since like one of you said, people are dumb and fall for that kind of shit like "oh snap its got purp in it". I wanted to see if it were possible to stress it into purp.

If you sold weed, then you would understand that there are some people you rip off, and some people you hook up fat. Thats just how it goes, nobody gets the same treatment.

have sold, and know many people who do sell and im about positive u end up better in the long run not rippin people off, maybe hook some people up fat, but not ripping people off... good way to lose customers or have someone run and tell the cops

hate comments dont have anything to do with it being your first time (not this time anyway). its that you are asking a question with intention (or so it sounds) to decieve your own friends in a manner that this site isn't supposed to be used for.
why not just buy some PPP or GDP seeds and get some legit purp instead? GDP is some pretty potent stuff!
by the way my temps have been in the low 50s high 40s at night (not intentionally, its just cold) for the past 6 weeks and there is no color change.

I don't grow purple strains on purpose. Both of my current strains have turned purple and I'm about 6 1/2 weeks into flowering. Not DRASTICALLY purple, but if I were to try to sell it I KNOW that people would find it more desirable.
That being said...if your customers want purple bud and you are currently growing green bud, I can see at least ASKING the question of whether or not you can safely turn your green bud purple.
Do I think that using cold temps to turn your bud purple makes you a "faker"? No. You sell a product and your product is more desirable if it is purple.
All you "Fakers" grow with HPS lights, when in reality we know that MH and UV create more potent bud. Less of it and to me it has less "Bag Appeal", but we like that HPS pumps out MORE bud. Bunch of fakers, should've only grown with MH...

yeah i know what you mean bro, i tend to go by what goes around comes around and good karma is great to have.
Im not saying i rip them off like overcharge or give them less, but maybe more of the uglier buds go to the ppl i think either A. suck, dont like em, or B. ppl who are only going to buy once (say a friend of a friend whos coming thru town)
i know this is not what the site is meant for, hence when i said this thread can be closed, but i will stay here to clear this up as much as possible as to not to start any e-fights

OK for the guy wanting to know how to turn your cola's/bud's purple...This is how you do it.
First if you can find purple food coloring purchase that, if not purchase red and blue food coloring and mix it together, mix for the darkest purple you can manage.
OK most people who have told you too just add some food coloring to around 2 gallons of water are wrong. I don't exactly know if this will make your plant *UN-smoke-able, but this is NOT the right way to color your plants!
This is the CORRECT way to color your buds without HARMING them at all. This has been done to Marijuana, roses, and all kinds of other plants mostly for show though.
All you want to do is take the Purple or Blue and Red mix and put it in a big glass, preferably a wide vase.
Now put all your Purple dye...ALL OF IT! into the vase...Then some sterile water most likely bottled water. The get out a piece aluminum, yes aluminum.
Crumble the Aluminum into a ball, and repeat that step about 3 times to make the ball weak. Drop the Aluminum ball into the vase of purple water. Let it sit for 1 Hour. Pick the vase up and swish it around in a circle a little.
Last step.------OK when your bud it ready for harvest, cut the stem's, trim the fan leave's. Make sure the stems for the colas are very long. Now stick as many buds with long stems within the vase of dye. YOU NEED TO DO THIS AS SOON AS YOU CUT THEM!
OK now wait till they turn purple! 2 DAYS MAX!!! to prevent fungus/mold. Then do your normal drying and curing process.
YOU CAN ALSO ADD SUGAR-FREE PURPLE KOOLAID IN THE VASE OF WATER, DYE, AND ALUMINUM BALL.

PURPLE IS JUST A COLOR, it does not mean better weed.
i have smoked the best purple there is, although great weed, its just weed.

SlikWill has never tried changing his buds to purple. He's only read on this forum that it harms the bud. Re-spitting information. Try it on a couple of buds, burn both food colored bud and bud that hasn't been colored and see if you can tell the difference. I've read posts on this website saying it ruins weed, but I tried it on a small amount last time and it didn't harm it. But then, I cure my bud for a month and it likely gets rid of the harsh chemicals that you guys are saying you can taste.
Like I said, try it on a small amount. It's the only way you'll know if it's worth the extra bag appeal.
