i try not to use eyedrops because they tend to kill my high( im not sure why but i just dont feel high anymore after i put them in) but i smoke before class alot. my eyes used to get really red but for some reason they just dont anymore. I find that blinking alot and getting them moist helps alot as well as trying to keep them as open as possible and focussing on something close by.

Yea I heard if you hold a cold wet rag over your eyes for a minute or two it helps, so i'll probably do that and if someone else suggests something else I'll try that too. right now i cant find my eye drops...

I've tried a lot of drops, clear eyes, roto-v, visine, but none of them can touch naphcon-a. My eye get really red, but naphcon-a does the trick!

im the oppisite i use to never get red eyes, now if i think about smoking they go red, i find the best feeling ever is rubbing your eyes when you drunk or high, but that makes it sooo much worse, so dont touch your eyes

i personally prefer rohtos because of the cooling effect. the best part is loaning them to people that havnt used them before. when they feel the tingling they freak out. i know a guy who wont use them because he was high and put them in and someone convinced him it was acid and he freaked all night. granted he had barely smoked before

i used to use clear eyes and it would take the redness right out. my theory is that when smokin weed your eyes get addicted to the clear eyes lol, so they get twice as red if you dont use it and you had been using it on previous sessions. since i am an older fuck now i wear my red eyes as a proud badge of stonerdom.

They get red because MJ causes your blood vessels to dilate, they look red because all the little blood vessels are all now much bigger. Eye drops do the exact opposite thing, they cause blood vessels to constrict. The main active ingredient in eye drops is Naphazoline Hydrochloride, A direct-acting sympathomimetic amine. Acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva to produce vasoconstriction, resulting in decreased conjunctival congestion. In other words it constricts blood vessels that it comes in contact with, or makes them smaller.

In visine, the main ingredient is tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, which is also a potent poison. But yeah, they all work by reducing blood flow to the eyes, which isn't necessarily a good thing. I prefer to not use eyedrops when I'm not in a situation when I absolutely need to.

I never gave a shit about red eyes from parents to school and then work, I put saline in if my eyes get dry, but beyond that if anyone questions I just tell them I've been up all night, which is usually true. :eyesmoke:
