I am the new kid on the block. I am just a couple hours old at most. As you all can probably tell my name is Jimmy and I am 28. I have been reading posts and I think I have something to add to this thread. I am going to make this Straight as an aero.

By definition hydroponics means cultivation of plants in nutrient solution other than soil

By definition aeroponics means a technique for growing plants without soil or hydroponic media. The plants are held above a system that constantly mists the roots with nutrient-Laden water.

My whole purpose in this thread is to educate. I pride myself on my abilities to teach as well as to learn.

1. What you will need and where to get it.

A.)50 gallon plastic container with lid. Make sure to get a real dark container so no light gets in. If light is exposed to wet roots algea will appear. BIG MESS!!! You can find these at hardware stores or bed bath stores.
B.)150GPH submersable pump. Home Depot or Lowes will have them. Any hardware store should! Best place to find this is a pet store specializing in fish and fish tank setup
C.)1/4">1/2" threaded coupler. Connects pump outlet to 1/2 in PVC pipe. any hardware store
D.) two 1/2" PVC male threaded couplers that connect 1/2" PVC pipe to pump and valve. any hardware store
E.)1/2" PVC Ball valve. Hardware store
F.)1/2">3/4 garden hose adapter. Hardware store
G.)1/2" PVC "L" fitting Home Depot
H.)1/2" PVC "T" Fitting Home Depot
I.) 1/2" PVC end Cap Home Depot, Lowes
J.) 10 feet of PVC with 1/2" inside diameter home depot
k.) Six 16oz "Solo" Plastic cups Walmart
L.) NFT-1 Cycle Timer. This is very important because this timer will be set to water one minute and rest four minutes. That way the pump does not overheat the nutrient solution causing many problems such as over watering, fireroot, root rot, nutrient loss, ect... I found this on internet
M.) 6 microsprayers that spray at least 180 degrees 360 is best though. You can find these in gardening stores or online
N.) Filter bag

That is the parts list. I will be right back as to put this thing together

P.S. Make sure that the misters you buy are for LOW pressure applications. If you buy the ones for High buy mistake they will barely send out a trickle.
