Serapis interpreted most of what I had wanted to convey but also I was trying to point out this (above underlined quote). Marijuana is no "magical plant" it has cannabinoids present in it as a self-defense mechanism to protect it's most vital part of existence, the ovaries (Buds). San Pedro, Peruvian Torch, Peyote, Psilocybe & Amanita Mushrooms, Datura, Morning Glory seeds and various plants used in the Ayahuasca brew all contain psychoactive chemicals which are/were treated as holistic medicines around the world... marijuana is not some selective plant we were meant to live in a symbiotic relationship with. Also marijuana produces side effects from chronic use as well, now its not like going into a seizure from not taking your benzos but negative side effects can/do occur. The problem with most psychoactive medication in general is that the positive effects of it are derived from the "negative effects" of intoxication, an since marijuana has a less subtle intoxicating feeling compared to low doses of benzos and narcotics it is seen more as just a recreational drug. I have panic attacks and alcohol helps me way more than xanax does but it also impairs me more which is the reason why I can't bring a bottle of grey goose and a shot glass to ease my stress at work and than tell my boss "Uh... I'm taking my medication...". My summary of what I am trying to convey to all of you is, Stop viewing marijuana on a political level and from just your ethical and moral views; start seeing it and the drugs produced by the "evil" pharmaceutical corporations on a pharmacological level . I have absolutely nothing against marijuana or its users whether they're using it for medical or recreational purposes... I do have a problem with ignorance and arrogance (MMJ card flaunting) though.

EndoGardin, I love Medicinal Blunts. When something causes me stress at the office and I get home with an upside down smile, I sometimes grab a medicinal blunt and because I say it's medicinal, that implies that it helps me somehow and my wife let's me do it. But you got to love the raw power of the medicinal good bud blunt that many mere mortals fear. If I had the choice of hopping into a new black Porsche 911 turbo on race night or coming home after work to a nice medicinal blunt, there would be a 50/50 chance i'd take that blunt and consume it responsibly in my house and on the couch, Because the awesomeness of a good THC medicinal blunt is good enough after a long day.... I liked everything about your post except for this right here... There should be no team at all, there should just be Homo Sapiens working together for the benefit of our species as a whole for the time that we exist. By simple stating there are teams I feel that you have created an oxymoron by than going on to say that what I believe to be your interpretation of the bad side as using "separatism". Please stop seeing the marijuana legalization with an us vs them mentality, that is a tactic of the "War on Drugs/Terrorism" imo. Use Marley's method and attempt to promote peaceful understanding/acceptance among humans and incorporate the acceptance and decriminalization of marijuana with it so we may all enjoy it for whatever purposes we wish to use it for .

THERE ARE TEAMS...dosent that make you ignorant for ignoring it? and unfortunately this is a different time than marleys...innocent people are going to jail for 20+ years just for growing this plant, WAKE UP

u wake up..this is 2011 and no one goes to jail for 20years over pot anymore..the prince of pot got convicted of transporting over 2 million pounds and got 5years..some other guy that he talks about meeting in jail got caught bringing in 700,000 pounds from canada to the u.s and he only got a few years...it is weird tho cuz if Oklahoma would of took him to court they could fuk him over big time.

There are teams cause you play their game . The majority makes the rules. We need unity and your arguing with me over semantics is do nothing for it. this was my only real problem with what you said...why do you think majority are "lieing"? because they are enthusiastic about their right to medicate with marijuana? and then kinda compairing our right to use cannabis to their "rights" to take it away?

An Bubble is right Federal over rides States... this is high-school government class stuff here. Of course there are loads of variables regarding sentencing but most marijuana offenders rarely get sent to maximum security prisoners (20 years - Lifers) unless they are part of a big drug ring such as the cartels, these prisons are specifically designed for "violent offenders" you usually only get sent there if you've repeatedly gotten busted for drugs and the state just doesn't have any alternatives left for you or if you have previous violent charges.

Do you really believe the conviction was for "transporting over 2 million pounds"? I mean, you must have spent at least some time really reading about Marc, you missed the fact that he was convicted for conspiracy to distribute, and not for "transporting over 2 million pounds". I mean, if you can read at all, you must know that right? And you don't see how mis-stating a fact to give credence to a point undermines it? In other words, you think that it's okay to twist and spin as long as your doing it for a good reason? Do you not see how manipulating the truth leaves any points you make without merit?
