How to read and follow Canna Coco Grow Guide?

Here is a link to the new Canna grow guide (THE GENERAL GROW GUIDE IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE): http://www.cannagardening.com/crop_specific_grow_guides

How is it supposed to be read, in particular the durations? What is the +/- and what is the min and max times on everything? And how should it be followed relative to growing cannabis?

Also, the amount of nutes it says to use in the general guide conflicts with the amount it says to use in the personalized grow guide where you enter your own info (http://www.cannagardening.com/growguide). For example, the general grow guide says to use 8-11 ml/gal of coco nutes. If you use the personalized grow guide, it will tell you to use 11ml or 13ml/gal ON LIGHT FEEDING and 14ml or 16ml/gal ON HEAVY FEEDING. How is the light feeding of the personalized guide more than the max feeding of the general guide?

Which guide should be followed? And why the conflicting info?

It's conflicting info because they are giving you a general guide to follow based on the plant species you're growing.

Hence why in the link it says orchids, cucumbers etc.

Do the personalised grow guide based on light feeding.

I've used the light feeding schedule before with great success.

But just remember that they are a guide.

Plants will use more/less nutes or water depending upon environmental factors.

Once you find your feet with the coco nutes you won't really use a guide.

No, I am not talking about the plant specific guides. I am talking about the GENERAL COCO GROW GUIDE AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THAT WEBPAGE. It conflicts with the numbers that you get with the personalized guide. And to further add to the confusion, at my local hydro shop they gave me a small 2 page paper Canna coco grow guide that has different numbers than the new general guide that is online right now. Where the new guide says to use 8-11ml/gal, the paper guide I was given says to use 12-15ml/gal. But I just assume the paper guide is just an old outdated version of the new guide?

Another question, since growing cannabis is similar to growing tomatoes, would it be ok to use the canna coco grow guide for tomatoes with cannabis? If not, what are the differences in amount of nutrients and durations? I just want to find out the correct schedule to use with cannabis. Its not like I can ask Canna about the ideal grow guide for cannabis, so any help on here would be great.

The personalised grow guide that you create using the canna website nutrient calculator is for a photoperiod plant given 4 weeks veg and around 9 weeks of 12/12. Ring any bells as to a species???

Now obviously CANNA can't just come outright and say hey we make nutrients for cannabis, where do you think the name came from.

Personally I don't work in ml per litre for my A and B. I work in nutrient EC.

Ah, so the personalized grow guide is for cannabis? And the general grow guide is not? I know the name "Canna" could be derived from cannabis, but what about the plants that are actually called "Cannas." Canna plants are a type of plant.

The personalised guide is for cannabis.

I remember reading canna's website a while back talking about our "favourite" plant in holland.

I wonder which plant that is.

Lol

On the personalized guide, it says the same amount of rhizotonic, cannazym, and canna boost should be used throughout most of the entire schedule, no matter if you choose light feeding or normal or heavy feeding. They all stay constant. Only the A and B amount changes. Would you recommend to use those constant amounts of rhizotonic, cannazym, and canna boost that they say to use? Or are they recommending too much?

hi thought i would add my thoughts and experiences,

i have been using canna for about 5 years now and been using there general grow guide off there websight as well but on a high feed regime, never had any problems and very little if any problems with burn or lockout, i still need to try the light feeding to see if i have the same results,

responding to your question above about ryzotonic and cannazyme are, from my understanding there to help with the maintenance of a good root environment, the rizotonic helps with new growth and imune boost and cannazyme helps break down old roots for the new to start growing.

the the fluctuation in the amounts of A&B will be at times the plant needs more of the basic food

all i would say is have faith in the feed regime off the websight they have done alot of research into this full set of nutrients and ok a little more expensive than other company's but it works well and the end product in my experience has been fantastic

ps check out the canna info vidioes the explain alot but they are very cheesy lol.
