How to maximize the yield in a 4x8 LED grow ?

Hi guys just want some thoughts in this. I'm setting up a new grow in a 4x8 tent. I'm using 990w ( actual Wattage) vipar led lights. I want to do is use 32 autoflowers in one gallon pots. In my previous grow I managed to get 20g per plant on 12 plants in 1 gallon pots, with half this light per plant in 3.5 months. Got a couple of questions;

1st : are auto's worth doing if I want to maximize yield? I'm drawn to them because they are quicker and a bit simpler to grow. But I will do what is necessary to maximise yield if that means growing standard photo plants as long as yield is more, relative to the time it took to grow bud with the auto's in 3'5 months.

2nd : if it's auto's or photos what technique should I use ? With my previous grow I just let them be in one gallon pots fairly tightly packed in a grow cupboard(20g per plants avg)

3 rd : with that amount of lights, it will actually be 4 180w lights and 3 90w lights, will heat cause an issue bearing in mind they are Led $ ?

Auto's are great if you can afford to run your lights at least 18/6. Wouldn't even bother if you can't at least do that. When I do run autos, 3-5 gallon pots is what I use, and I usually top once, right before flower. I also run the lights 24/0. It would be a waste not to IMO. (One gallon pots are just waaay to much work to water, and you want to give the roots as much room as possible) I don't really know shit about LED's, except that they are supposed to be a lot cooler to run than HID.

If you are looking to pull weight, I would suggest sticking with photos, and a 2-3 month veg time in the biggest pots you can afford. Think less plants, longer veg time, instead of cramming as many as you can in the tent.

Autos are good but not necessary for highest yield. With autos it really depends on your pot size mostly. It's not recommend to top it fim auto but some people still do it and have success. You can't keep them in veg like photos. In one gallon pot with autos, if you LST and all goes well you'd probably get about 1/2oz per plant or so. With photos, you can top and fim and veg them for months and transplant into larger pots as needed, resulting in high yields. As
For lighting, you won't really get any heat stress from LED's so that should be fine.

Yeah I understand that it will result in higher yields with photos but if I'm putting 5 months into a photo grow to pull for example 7 ounces when I could pull 5 ounces in 2.5 months with autos then autos are yielding less but making more in the long term for time spent. I mean what's gonna yield more given the same amount of time? I'd edge on the side of autos if the difference is negligible simply because you get to harvest quicker and they're simpler to grow.

Also if I'm growing auto's in 3 gallon pots how much can I expect to yield on them? I yielded 20g a plant growing auto blue mystic in 1 gallon pots with 16w light per sq ft, so if I grow the same strain in 3 gallon pots with 32w per sq ft light how much more can I expect to yield per plant ? It's like maths class again lol

The amount of watts is not what makes or breaks a led panel

It's the umoles /m^/sec across the entire canopy that matter

You are waaaaay underpowered with that light, even in a 3 3

Now, if you had a Solar Spec 1040 you could cover ~ 5 x 5 with killer nuggz

Alas, their www is not up yet.

The SS 260s are sold out. Next shipment due in ~ 3 weeks

Order now, or....

I grew auto Cheese from Dinafem. ( it was a freebie) from Attitude.
it was very impressive. smelled and tasted like a cheese. it was about 2 ft. tall yield was good too. i never weighted. but i should have just for curiosity.compare to other auto strains that i had as a freebie that cheese was way, way better.
