mayb you could get a glass box or piece of glass put it over the plant it wont kill it and it will still get light
No man, it would get WAAAYY too hot in the box. Heat would get in but would get trapped; don't do it.
Also, glass wouldn't help keeping it hidden from outsiders, so that's useless lol.

i have some narcs 4 neighbours and am starting a couple plants in my garden next year so i was just wondering if there are anyways to keep the plants under 5 feet without hurting the plant?
sounds to me like your asking for jail time, just my two cents.

why not find a secluded location away from people who are known to rat on other people for growing pot?????

Keep in mind most importantly when the chosen strain goes into flower, outdoors this isn't the case with an AF. Something like Masterlow and those crosses would do great but not an AF that gets to be three foot or more.

With a non AF strain, I'd just shape the plant by topping so it grows outwards and bushes. I recall this strawberry bush in Hightimes years ago that was just to pretty the way it had been manicured, just grew perfectly.

It's important to know when to stop shaping and when to let it heal to flower and not to be to early or she will grow up on you to much. She also won't stretch as much if shaped to be a foor foot wide bush, she gets a lot of light being that fat.
