how to get the best yields!

I find the colder you can get everything the better. Dry ice is pretty easy to make if you have a Co2 extinguisher.

You guys are funny. The best yields are done hot. Propane has a low supercritical pressure of 620 psi or so and 207F. At 105F the vapor pressure is 210 psi. At 70F the vapor pressure is 127 psi.

And we are using butane. Not propane. And you think getting your turpines hot and sticky is going to allow them to flow through your tube easier? The colder the better. And I've been doing this for years...

And I'll be doing a blast after work tonight. Will keep you guys posted and try to upload pics.

Parchment paper lol I do not use plastic.

Temp ended at 112f after 16 hours in the vac. It came out as taffy but you can easily mold it and play with it with your hands. Doesn't stick to you at all. Got about 1 gram left out of 13 g lol been smoking it since last saturday

The key is filling the vessel in a negative pressure so that you lower the bp and thus lowering it's supercritical temperature. In reality, closed loop loses little. If the oils release from the plant matter they will most likely end up along the side walls of the vessel and can be reclaimed easy. If you guys depend upon butane for terps, your better off using hexane in addition to butane extraction for better yields. Ethanol is also a great solvent to call upon as well as acetone in small amounts if no plastic is used.

When I blast, the temp is very cold. However, when the extraction was holding pressure, getting heated, as it swept through the extreme phases and was stable, that temperature that was taken while it didnt fluctuate up or down, is the extraction temperature. Subcritical liquid extractions are nice, supercritical is purely about yield, but what you guys post is a rinsing of the plant matter w cold solvent. Cold may be a higher selectivity, but I thought the topic was yield.

setup some water ontop your heat source.. or sand.. or oil.. this will allow for even heat distribution in your chamber.. making for a more properly purged extract....... but great job so far..

and how to get the best yields.. umm.. the strain and quality of starting material really make a bho wat it is..

Hope your using flanges, this could be dangerous with triclamps. Heating your solvent in a sealed column to 207 degrees is kinda sketchy in my opinion.
