TO KILL SPIDER MITES:

Hotshot Pest strips work great from veg to flowering. And keep the bugs away.

Your grow room need to be completely sealed or sealed enough so the humidity can go up and the Hotshot can build up.

This is safe for the plants even during flowering.

But try not to use it later to harvest 1-2weeks.

And For clones if your mother plant does have spidermites u wanna get a bucket put some dishwasher liquid and washer and dip the plants (wash them) they should be really green once you give em a good washing . That will keep bugs away also .

Try not to let the leafs touch if you do have an infected plant.

Depening on how big your grow room is you'll need 1-3 of them..

The hotshot pest strip is the easiest because all you have to do is put it in there as soon as the LIGHTS ARE OFF . WARNING: USE THIS PEST STRIP WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OFF NOT WHEN THEY ARE ON.

Yea I wouldn't habve those around food products. There is a product called pure spray green that's works well. I usually don't spray it late in flower, but it's very efficient and usually can end up being clean of mites before u even go into flower. Even azomax with wet Betty will do wonders. Really allows the leafs to get fully covered.

No it is not. You think drenching the air with a chemical that will kill dogs is safe to smoke? Are you fucking nuts? It is no different than spraying your shit with rat poison. This is exactly why I hate smoking buds that someone else grew.

They put warnings on the outside of the packages for a reason........the ingredients are harmful to humans. Secondly, they are only effective in smaller areas- in larger areas, you would need a bunch to be somewhat effective. I hate them and would never use them around anything I would smoke. The vapors are absorbed by the buds. You may grow a tail someday.......

I have 3 of these in a 5x10 area. From what ive seen they do not work very well against spider mites.
They work, but you have to use them correctly. For them to work you have to wait til your lights go out, turn off exhaust fans and hang them in the room and let them fume up the room til your lights come back on. Of course you turn your exhaust back on before the lights come on.

Every time you do this all adults are killed. Do it twice a week until you harvest. The active ingredient has a half life of a few hours. It is completely gone in a few days.

Once you harvest you need to get some Forbid 4f. It will kill everything. Spray it once on the next crop when it is vegetating and you will have no mites. Do this every crop for six months and you are cured. Forbid 4f is the only product that kills mites and eggs and keeps killing systemically for 6 weeks. Don't even have to spray it on the undersides of the leaves. Just spray it on the top of the leaves and it kills eggs and mites THROUGH the leaves. It's miraculous shit but you can only use it in VEGETATIVE stage.

1 ml of forbid 4f makes a gallon of spray that will last a year.

The ingredient used in hotshots is used for stored grain. You know, grain, the stuff that you EAT? It is MADE for food. It is also FED TO CATTLE to get rid of parasites.

It has a very short half life.

Forbid is NOT systemic but it does stay in leaves for up to 48 days. Systemic means you can water it in thru the roots and it will spread thru the plant. This you spray it on the leaf and it will be effective on the other side of the leaf, but that's not considered systemic because it doesn't move thru the vascular system of the plant.

What the heck is in mighty wash???
  • try diatomaceous earth. its a fine powder. use food grade DE. take the powder and put it in a plastic bottle with a cap. drill some small holes in the top about the same size as a salt shaker or smaller. give it a squeeze to force the air and powder out as a little cloud on the leaves and dirt. make sure its kept dry. this will kill any existing mites in the area. DE is like micro shards of glass totally harmless to humans. if bugs crawl through it they get cut up and dry out and die. in about a day. Trust me it works better than anything I've tried which is about everything. kelp4less.com is a good place to buy online. Google it do some homework give it a try. anyone with a bug problem try this and let us know how it works.

You're exactly right. I get people wanting to be natural, but do a little research before you start flaming people for recommending these things. The half life of the actual pesticide is only a few hours. That means it breaks down in a few hours for those of you who want to freak out without knowing what you're talking about. No one's going to grow a tail. Try put warnings on everything. It's to limit liability. Guess what? You can't eat your all natural pyrethrum based sprays ether. Natural doesn't mean "safe" automatically. Use common sense, good judgement, and read. Make your own decisions.
