How to eliminate odor in my situation?

What's the best way for me to eliminate odor? I don't think I can use a carbon filter setup because I plan to grow in a walk-in closet with the door open. There's no exhaust really, so how would this be done? Do those ONA blocks work?

Well you want the air that is coming out of the room to not smell like pot. If you let air out without passing it through a filter it will smell like pot. No matter what you do if the slightest bit of unfiltered air gets out it will smell. So I would bet that nothing is going to work unless you can run all the air though something. An ona block isn't going to catch everything unless the air is in some sort of enclosed environment where all the air going in and out is effected. Why can't you close the door and set the exhuast out of where the door goes ?

I don't want to cut a hole in the door and I can't think of any other way. The closet is in a spare bedroom that I want to be able to quickly convert back to a "normal" room. Just in case a relative announces coming to town with hardly any notice or something like that.

Just put your carbon filter & fan in the room. It will scrub the odor no problem.

Pardon my newbness, but aren't the carbon filters designed to work in-line with a fan and exhaust ducting? I can just sit another fan in front of a carbon filter anywhere in the spare bedroom and it will get rid of the smell just fine?

Yes, but you don't need ducting. No, you can't just sit a carbon filter infront of a fan to work. You need a carbon filter that is connected to a fan, sucking, sealed. With that it will scrub the smell from your room.
