I'm running heavy 16 idk if i wana use h202 cuz itll pretty much kill my heavy 16 prime so that would b a waste of my money.. what can i add to my res when i do my res changes should i jus run my entire heavy 16 line alone w nothing else? Or should i add a beneficial if so whixh one? Or which sanatize can i add that wont kill off all.my good bacteria

In my video u can see the brown slime on my bulk heads the stuff at the bottom of the bucket is from not cleaning my hydroton good enough.. its a quick 6 min vid

I only do dwc, i dont have bulk heads and such. When i ran a 5 gal bucket I would spray it out with water but later in flower when i couldnt I didn't clean it at all. Using a larger res now and i don't "clean" it with anything. I use Hydroguard for root health, I'd suggest it.

As for bulks heads and other cloggable equipment I could see them getting clogged, I'd suggest googling something like "clean bulk heads hydro" and you should see results on keeping your equipment clean.

Or hopefully someone else here will chime in, I know a lot of guys run similiar and could help provide insight.

Oh and the mention of brown slime I just noticed. Be careful to clean all of that away, that shit will spread like hell and it will be the worst nightmare ever. Hopefully it wasn't bad bacteria like (pythium/root rot) and just some gunk from nutes or hydroton dirt.

You cannot use H202 and beneficial bacteria, the H202 will kill the beneficial bacteria and render it useless. But if you meant you'll just clean with it and then fill res that should be fine, maybe just wait a couple days after cleaning so that the H202 is all gone and then add the beneficial.

Yeah I know that's why I use it when I use my reservoir changed I want all the good and bad bacteria dead so I can fill it up with fresh nutrient

I've alwaysbattled with slime and clogs when ever i introduced bennies into my dwc runs i strictly use synthetic in hydro so i can use h202 to keep all the components clean and slime free .save the bennies and organics for soil...just my 0.02

Maybe I'm missing something here but I haven't noticed anyone mention an enzyme product of some kind. You can even use a bit of h202 with an enzyme product too.
