yeah auto`s are what you throw into your veg or bloom space when you have an empty bit of space in one and swap between where ever you have room for them

wanna get more yield grow normal plants not autos or sativa dom autos I guess

Grow photos in that space my plan is for constant personal supply wouldn't they get bigger with less bud sites and take longer

The issue you normally have with autos is getting them upto a good size, you put in 10 autos 1 in 3 will be a good size say 30 to 100g end yield

So your going to have a bunch of tiny plants and you`ve paid money for each seed

where as with a normal plant you can always veg them to a good size or veg up a mum and clone something that`ll grow and finish to the size you want after its rooted and set into flower

really your talking about 1 to 4 weeks to veg up some photo`s

80% of the time people are growing auto`s for no reason they would yield more with photos and get no issues, sometimes you need to use autos but really think about it

I would rather run 4 photo`s then 8 or even 12 maybe even 20 autos

just because I know I can get more, train them, clone them, re-veg them and they recover from shock better and transfer into bigger pots with far less issues

Auto`s were "new" and they tempt people in, and yeah there are handy if you want tiny plants that flower with low light levels on long days, I mean if you have a 90cm x90xm x 90cm area you could grow 10 or more in there for sure

but why risk getting 10g per plant ? and with autos your 50% more likely to get 50% less smell, taste and strength, some of them still make really nice bud but if a good photo has a 50% chance of being a top notch plant then that same strain by the same breeder in auto I would say has a 25% chance of being a top notch plant

There great for using your spare veg area to start them in then chuck them in your bloom area when you`ve harvested some out, or for outside where its cold or you get really long days

but for yield, consistent taste and such autos I always find lacking

and I started with autos, cfl`s and leds, then used Photos then started getting involved with hid`s for low budget larger scale stuff

if you wanna stick 5 to 30 seeds in a huge pot outside and do hardly any work then go for autos

If your going to put in some work then go with photo`s you`ll get more

unless you can`t get the dark periods or are using weaker lights you`ll always get more out of Photo`s unless your going to put 3 or 4 shelfs in and grow a fuck load of short autos in the same space but you`ll do so much more work that the extract yield won`t seem worth it at all

I`d go with a Photo, pure kush, ak or NL some short fast indica if you can do a good job of that then start playing with indica dom hybrids then maybe see what sativa`s you can squeeze into your set up, but by that point you`ll find more space, once you know how to grow some bud you like its funny how things change, lol

In a similarly sized cabinet I have run both autos and photos. With 2 autos, I'll get about an ounce to an ounce and a half each. 2 photos will easily produce that as a minimum. Check out spacebuckets.com, I veg in space buckets then move to the cabinet for flower. So it's like I have multiple "rooms" but really it's just a cabinet and some 5 gallon buckets.

Autos are the shit, my 1st auto gave me 2.6 ounces under 180 watts and i burnt it pretty bad, potent as smoke, better than the photos i grew

Nice little set up

I find small stealth set ups normally air flow is the hardest thing to get nice

Vent as much from the top as you can and try to get nice fresh air into the root zone

I`d just watch out for mould and over heating try not to overcrowd it in there

The bigger your pots the better I find, yes ok maybe I could work hard and yield 100 grams from 2 to 6L smart or root pots but the odd plant would still die or yield lower, going with 30 to 60L pots I find I get over 200g per plant sometimes closer to 500g and there a lot less work, ok 60L or more and I need help to move them if their wet but still worth it

faster they go in the bigger pots the better it seems too, but they still need atleast 2 to 6 weeks of veg before you put them into 30L+ pots but that made life a lot easier for me
